Legendary Director Calls Trump a ‘Pleasure to Work With’
Woody Allen says Trump was polite, professional, and had real showbiz talent during their time on set.

In a moment that left leftists squirming, legendary film director Woody Allen offered rare Hollywood praise for President Donald Trump not for politics, but for his professionalism, charisma, and talent on camera.
During a recent appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, Allen discussed working with Trump on the set of his 1998 film Celebrity, and he didn’t hold back.
“He was a pleasure to work with and a very good actor. He was very polite and hit his mark and did everything correctly and had a real flair for show business,” Allen said.
That kind of glowing review isn’t something you hear often from Hollywood at least not publicly but it’s a stark reminder that behind the media smears and partisan hysteria, Trump is, and always has been, a man who gets the job done.
Even Maher, who often panders to his liberal audience, couldn’t resist joking, “If you think you were canceled before” a nod to the likely outrage that would follow anyone in entertainment daring to speak well of Trump, no matter how objectively.
But Allen wasn’t finished.
“I only wish I could direct him now,” he added with a grin. “If he would let me direct him now that he’s president, I think I could do wonders.”
While Allen made it clear he disagrees with Trump politically going as far as saying he voted for Kamala Harris and disagrees with the president “on 95% of things” he couldn’t deny Trump’s commanding presence and showbiz skill. In his words, Trump was “very convincing” and “charismatic” qualities that helped propel him from businessman and TV personality to the most impactful political figure of the modern era.
Allen even expressed bewilderment at Trump’s decision to leave his comfortable lifestyle for the grueling world of politics, saying.
“This was a guy I used to see at the Knick games. He liked to play golf and judge beauty contests and do things that were enjoyable and relaxing. And why anyone would want to suddenly have to deal with the issues of politics is beyond me. But apparently he doesn’t mind.”
It’s not hard to understand, though. Trump didn’t run because he had to. He ran because the country needed someone who wasn’t afraid of the swamp someone who could take the heat, take the hits, and still deliver for the American people.
And no matter how much the media tries to vilify him, moments like this prove a simple truth: Those who actually work with Trump who see him in action often come away impressed.
That’s something Hollywood, Washington, and the left can’t stand.
