Vance Slams Kamala Harris: ‘Day One Was 1,300 Days Ago’
Senator JD Vance calls out Harris for failing to deliver during her time as Vice President.
During a campaign stop in Michigan, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) delivered a scathing critique of Vice President Kamala Harris, pointing out that her promises for "day one" actions are meaningless given that she's had over 1,300 days in office to make a difference—and has failed to do so.
As former President Donald Trump’s running mate for the 2024 election, Vance didn’t hold back when addressing a crowd eager for change. “Kamala, I hate to break it to you, but ‘Day One’ was 1300 days ago. You’ve been Vice President for three and a half years, what the hell have you been doing during all that time?” Vance asked, echoing the frustrations of many Americans who have seen little improvement under the Biden-Harris administration.
A Record of Failure: Vance's remarks highlight the central issue for many voters: Harris has had ample time to enact the changes she now claims she'll make if elected president. “The message from this crowd and this state of Michigan is: you had your chance, you FAILED and we’re not giving you a promotion,” Vance stated. He then rallied the crowd, asserting that Donald Trump will return to "clean up your mess, Kamala Harris, and it’s going to start right here in the state of Michigan.”
A Damning Record: Vance also took to X (formerly Twitter) to remind Americans what Harris actually did on "day one" of the Biden-Harris administration. “Kamala Harris opened the border on day one. Now Americans are dying at record numbers from fentanyl. She cast the deciding vote on the inflation explosion act. Now families can’t afford groceries or rent. She won’t do an interview because she can’t explain this record.”
No Accountability: Despite Harris's new promises and her recent decision to sit down for a joint interview with Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and CNN anchor Dana Bash, many are questioning why it took so long for her to face the media. The Vice President’s record speaks volumes, and Vance's comments resonate with voters who have grown tired of empty promises and lackluster results.
Vance’s remarks tap into a broader sentiment across the nation: that Harris and the current administration have had their chance, and it’s time for a change. As the 2024 election approaches, the choice becomes clearer for those who want real leadership back in the White House.
