Trump Calls on UN Nations to Embrace Strong Borders and Energy Independence

In a bold UN address, Trump urges world leaders to reject globalist failures and adopt the policies that made America strong.

President Donald Trump didn’t mince words during his address to the United Nations this week, calling on member states to abandon the globalist orthodoxy of open borders and green energy pipe dreams, and instead adopt the very policies that have fueled America’s resurgence. From the world stage in New York, Trump delivered a clear message to be great again, nations must return to common sense.

Referencing America’s own trajectory under his leadership, Trump highlighted two essential pillars for national revival strict immigration control and domestic energy production.

“You need strong borders and traditional energy sources if you are going to be great again,” Trump declared.

His remarks come as countries across Europe, North America, and beyond struggle with spiraling energy costs, surging illegal migration, and increasing political instability all rooted in leftist policies pushed by international elites.

Key points from Trump’s UN address:

  • Crackdown on Illegal Immigration: Trump warned that uncontrolled immigration is “destroying a large part of the free world,” and urged nations to reassert their sovereignty with strong borders.

  • Energy Independence: Trump called out the “so-called green renewable energy” agenda, blaming it for soaring costs and weakened national security. He praised America’s return to fossil fuel production and urged other countries to follow suit.

  • Free Speech and Religious Liberty: Emphasizing the need to defend core freedoms, Trump noted the growing persecution of Christians, calling it the world’s most targeted religion.

“Let us defend free speech and free expression, let us protect religious liberty, including, for the most persecuted religion on the planet today. It’s called Christianity,” he said.

Trump’s criticisms of the UN itself were pointed but laced with humor. He recounted the lack of support from the international body during major global disputes including tensions between India and Pakistan, and Cambodia and Thailand while joking about malfunctioning equipment at the UN headquarters.

“These are the two things I got from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter,” he quipped.

Despite technical hiccups, Trump’s speech struck a chord. He used the moment not only to reaffirm American strength but also to promote national pride for every country represented at the assembly.

“Every leader in this beautiful hall today represents a rich culture, a noble history, and a proud heritage that makes each nation majestic and unique,” he said.

On global conflicts, Trump didn’t hold back. He called out European nations for continuing to buy Russian oil, effectively “funding the war against themselves”, and demanded that Hamas return all hostages as a prerequisite for peace in Gaza.

The speech drew wide attention online, especially after Trump posted a follow-up on Truth Social, joking that the broken teleprompter may have improved the speech, and calling it an “honor” to address the United Nations despite its obvious dysfunction.

With top officials like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, UN Ambassador Mike Walz, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in attendance, the address underscored the administration’s commitment to projecting strength, sovereignty, and unapologetic leadership on the world stage.

Trump’s message was unmistakable: weak borders, radical climate agendas, and international groupthink have failed. It’s time for nations to reclaim their identity, secure their citizens, and fuel their own prosperity just as America has done.
