Judge Greenlights Trump’s Troop Deployment to Chicago

Despite Democrat resistance, 200 Texas National Guard soldiers head to restore order as anti-ICE violence spirals in sanctuary city.

A federal judge has handed President Donald Trump a major win in his push to restore order in lawless, Democrat-run cities. On Monday, the court refused to block the deployment of Texas National Guard troops to Chicago, allowing the administration to move forward for now with its plan to reinforce federal agents under siege by left-wing agitators.

The ruling comes after a weekend of violence in Chicago, where Border Patrol agents were ambushed by a convoy of vehicles in what authorities are calling an orchestrated attack. One of the alleged perpetrators, Marimar Martinez, was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic weapon and had been inciting violence against ICE agents online, encouraging gang members to “f*** those motherf****ers up.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security, when the ambushed agents called for backup, Chicago police were told to stand down a shocking dereliction of duty that puts federal lives at risk and confirms what many already knew: Chicago is no longer under control.

With the judge’s ruling, 200 elite Texas National Guard soldiers will now arrive in the city as early as Tuesday or Wednesday. Their mission is clear: protect federal personnel and reestablish law and order where local leadership refuses to act.

But Democrat officials aren’t going down quietly. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker held a defiant press conference Monday, declaring,
“The state of Illinois is going to use every lever at our disposal to resist this power grab and get [Kristi] Noem’s thugs the hell out of Chicago.”

Let’s break that down:

  • Pritzker isn’t calling out the criminal mob that ambushed federal agents.

  • He isn’t apologizing for local police abandoning their duty.

  • Instead, he’s attacking U.S. troops soldiers from Texas, sent to do the job his administration refuses to do.

And Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson? Rather than support the rule of law, he signed an executive order establishing so-called “ICE-free zones,” effectively turning the city into a safe haven for criminal aliens. The order prohibits ICE from using city property or unwilling private businesses to conduct operations a move that undermines federal immigration law and aids lawbreakers.

Illinois isn’t alone in its obstruction. Oregon has also launched legal challenges to block Trump’s deployment of troops to Portland, where similar anti-ICE violence has erupted. For now, Texas troops are barred from deploying there, as legal wrangling continues.

But in Chicago, the cavalry is coming and not a moment too soon.

This is more than a courtroom battle; it’s a clash between two visions for America. One side wants law, order, and secure borders. The other wants sanctuary for criminals and total federal paralysis.

President Trump’s actions prove once again that he’s not afraid to confront chaos with strength. While blue state leaders play politics, he’s sending in troops to protect lives, uphold the law, and remind America what real leadership looks like.
