Epstein Records to Be Released After Trump Signs Bill

President orders DOJ to declassify records as spotlight turns to Epstein’s ties with top Democrats.

President Donald Trump just flipped the script on the Epstein cover-up narrative and the Democrats are scrambling.

On Wednesday evening, Trump signed into law a bill requiring the Department of Justice to release all unclassified records related to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender whose connections to powerful political and corporate elites have long raised disturbing questions.

The DOJ now has 30 days to comply, making public whatever files it can, with limited redactions permitted only if necessary to protect ongoing federal investigations. The bill, passed by the House earlier this week, landed on the president’s desk amid mounting calls for transparency from across the political spectrum.

But it was Trump’s Truth Social post that turned heads. “Perhaps the truth about these Democrats, and their associations with Jeffrey Epstein, will soon be revealed, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” he wrote.

He added that more than 50,000 pages of Epstein-related documents have already been turned over to Congress, and accused Democrats of using the case to distract from his administration’s “AMAZING Victories.”

Despite media spin and partisan attempts to smear Trump by associating him with Epstein, the president has consistently denied any involvement, pointing to the fact that he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago in 2007 long before any criminal convictions.

Key details of the new law:

  • Attorney General Pam Bondi now has 30 days to release all unclassified records

  • Bondi may withhold or redact information that could jeopardize an active investigation

  • The legislation overrides prior bureaucratic stonewalling that shielded potentially explosive details

This latest move has shaken the institutions that have long buried Epstein’s web of influence. Harvard University economist and former president Lawrence Summers has already paused his teaching duties as the school braces for possible revelations tied to his relationship with Epstein.

And it’s no surprise Democrats are nervous. Epstein wasn’t just a rogue billionaire with an island he was a deeply connected insider with documented ties to figures like Bill Clinton, former Senate leaders, and Wall Street elites. For years, those ties have been swept under the rug under the guise of “ongoing investigations” and judicial secrecy.

Trump’s decision to release the files strips away that protection and throws open the door to public scrutiny. The American people deserve to know the full truth who Epstein associated with, who protected him, and who looked the other way.

While it remains unclear how much damning information will be in the documents, one thing is certain: transparency is coming, and Democrats who once hoped to weaponize the Epstein case against Trump may now find themselves exposed instead.

This is what accountability looks like. Trump isn’t just promising to drain the swamp he’s signing the paperwork to do it.
