Trump Says Schumer is Finished and Mentally Gone

Trump slams Senate Minority Leader as a puppet of radical leftists, predicts end of Schumer’s political career.

President Donald Trump didn’t hold back this week when he delivered what amounted to a political obituary for longtime Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer, calling him “mentally gone” and declaring his political future “gonzo.”

In a fiery exchange on Tuesday, Trump criticized Schumer as a hollowed-out shell of the man he once was and blamed his decline on caving to the young radical leftists now calling the shots in the Democrat Party.

“He’s shot. This poor guy. I feel sorry for him,” Trump said. “I’ve known him for a long time, but I think he’s mentally gone. He’s been beat up by young radical lunatics.”

Trump wasn’t just riffing he was diagnosing a trend that many Americans have watched unfold for years: Schumer has completely surrendered to the extreme fringe of his party. And it’s not just conservatives saying it. Even far-left groups are admitting Schumer is only now getting their approval not because he’s a leader, but because he finally started taking orders.

In Trump’s words “Schumer’s shot… I think Chuck is probably finished.”

When asked if the Democratic Party now belonged to radical socialist figures like Zohran Mamdani rather than establishment names like Schumer or Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Trump didn’t hesitate.

“Probably is. Maybe [Mamdani] will run for president in four years; you’ll have a communist president. That would be interesting.”

For years, Trump warned the country about creeping socialism and far-left extremism. Now, with Schumer bowing to the loudest agitators and a new crop of unapologetic Marxists gaining ground, Trump’s warnings seem less like rhetoric and more like prophecy.

Meanwhile, even GOP leaders in Congress are backing up Trump’s view. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) recently slammed Schumer on the Senate floor, citing his disturbing alliance with far-left activist group Indivisible, which organized a radical rally and openly declared that Schumer was “progressing” because he hadn’t yet surrendered a backhanded compliment if there ever was one.

Seven months ago, the same group was demanding Schumer step down. What changed? As Barrasso explained:

“He shut down the government… He’s now a puppet of the radical, extreme, dangerous, scary wing of his party.”

That’s not leadership that’s capitulation. And Schumer has made it clear that he’s more concerned with appeasing activists than preserving national stability. He collaborated with activist groups for months before orchestrating what many now call the Schumer Shutdown, even bragging to Punchbowl News:

“We thought about this long in advance.”

It wasn’t governance. It was political sabotage.

Trump’s blunt assessment calling Schumer “gonzo” and “mentally gone” may sound harsh, but it reflects a sentiment shared by millions of Americans: the Democratic Party is no longer led by seasoned statesmen, but by unhinged ideologues and woke extremists who hold seasoned politicians like Schumer hostage.

If Schumer’s political career is nearing its final chapter, he has no one to blame but himself. He chose appeasement over principle, submission over strength. Now, he’s being pushed aside by the very mob he empowered.
