Trump Says Assassination Attempts Have Strengthened His Resolve

Former President Trump Vows to Keep Fighting for America First Despite Threats to His Life.

Former President Donald Trump delivered a powerful message at a rally in Long Island, New York, this week, reflecting on the repeated assassination attempts against him and how they have only "hardened" his determination to fight for America. Speaking to a packed crowd at the Nassau Coliseum, Trump made it clear that these threats would not deter him from his mission to make America great again.

“So, as you know, three days ago, there was yet another assassination attempt on my life,” Trump told the enthusiastic crowd. “It was the second one in eight weeks by a violent radical left mobster. And God has now spared my life. Not once, but twice. These encounters with death have not broken my will. They have really given me a much bigger and stronger mission.”

The crowd erupted in chants of “USA, USA, USA” as Trump reaffirmed his commitment to putting America first. “They’ve only hardened my resolve to use my time on earth to make America great again for all Americans,” Trump said, undeterred by the dangers he has faced.

The former president referenced the most recent assassination attempt on Sunday, when a man hid out for 12 hours near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf club, allegedly planning to target him. This followed an earlier attempt just two months prior, where Trump was shot in the ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Both incidents demonstrate the lengths radical actors are willing to go to silence the most popular Republican candidate in decades.

Yet instead of retreating, Trump has only doubled down on his goals. He reminded the crowd that winning New York a feat that hasn’t been accomplished by a Republican since 1984 is within reach, as he vowed to “fix up our country.”

Trump’s remarks came a day after a town hall event in Flint, Michigan, where he spoke with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders about his vision for rebuilding America’s economy. Trump lamented the decline of the once-thriving automotive industry in cities like Detroit and Flint, promising that under his administration, the U.S. would manufacture more vehicles at home instead of relying on Mexico and China.

To make this vision a reality, Trump proposed a bold economic move: a 200% tariff on all vehicles manufactured outside of the United States. Such a policy would help revive America’s manufacturing power and bring back high-paying jobs that have been lost due to decades of outsourcing and poor trade deals.

At every rally and town hall, Trump is greeted by enthusiastic crowds, energized by his message of strength and resilience. The attempted attacks on his life have only reinforced his role as a leader who refuses to back down in the face of adversity. As the 2024 election draws closer, Trump’s unwavering commitment to his supporters and his America First agenda is clearer than ever.
