Trump Signs $3 Billion Defense Deal With Qatar Amid $200 Billion Boeing Aircraft Order

Despite Qatar’s past ties to terrorism, Trump prioritizes American jobs, military dominance, and strategic leverage in the Gulf.

President Donald Trump signed a major defense and aviation deal with Qatar on Wednesday, marking another historic agreement during his second-term Middle East tour. The multi-pronged arrangement includes $3 billion in immediate military equipment purchases and a record-breaking $200 billion order for American-made aircraft, cementing Trump’s commitment to putting American manufacturing and military leadership first.

“It’s the largest order of jets in the history of Boeing. That’s pretty good,” Trump said. “Over $200 billion… Congratulations to Boeing. Get those planes out there!”

Qatar is set to purchase MQ-9B Reaper drones and cutting-edge counter-drone systems from Raytheon, becoming the first international customer for the FS-LIDS system a powerful new tool designed to neutralize small unmanned aerial threats. The deal also includes a broader $38 billion framework of future defense cooperation, which the White House described as a major enhancement of U.S.-Qatari security ties.

The decision to deepen ties with Qatar, a nation long scrutinized for funding Hamas and maintaining cozy relations with Iran, is undoubtedly controversial among the foreign policy elite. But Trump has made it clear: American interests come first, and strategic leverage matters more than stale Beltway talking points.

“We have the best equipment anywhere in the world and you’re buying a lot of that equipment, actually,” Trump told Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during their bilateral meeting.

For context:

  • Qatar has poured over $2 billion into Gaza, much of it benefiting the terrorist-run Hamas regime, according to national security experts.

  • Trump had previously blasted Qatar in 2017 for its terror ties, but under his leadership, Qatar has shifted course aligning more closely with U.S. strategic goals while hosting the critical Al Udeid Air Base, America’s largest military outpost in the Middle East.

While Democrats and media critics wring their hands over past grievances, Trump is securing deals that protect U.S. interests, boost defense readiness, and create tens of thousands of American jobs. The 210-aircraft Boeing order, which includes Dreamliners and 777Xs powered by GE Aerospace engines, is a direct investment in American labor and manufacturing.

This move comes just a day after Trump’s $142 billion defense sales agreement with Saudi Arabia, the largest in U.S. history. Together, these deals amount to nearly $400 billion in defense and aviation commitments all secured without a single war or concession to globalist institutions.

Trump is sending a message: You want peace through strength? You get it through American dominance, strategic partnerships, and economic firepower.

The White House emphasized that the U.S. would continue working with Gulf allies to pressure Iran, dismantle terror networks, and strengthen border and cyber security across the region. With Trump at the helm, U.S. foreign policy is back to what it should be deal-driven, results-focused, and unapologetically American.
