Victims’ Families Call for Trump to Be Awarded Nobel Peace Prize
Families of fentanyl and illegal immigration victims say Trump’s border security saved lives and brought peace to American neighborhoods.

Dozens of grieving families who’ve lost loved ones to fentanyl overdoses and illegal immigrant violence are making an emotional appeal President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. And they’re not backing down.
In a powerful letter sent Thursday to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, members of The American Border Story (TABS) a group representing Angel parents and families devastated by the border crisis made the case that Trump’s bold leadership on border security, cartel crackdowns, and immigration reform brought more real peace to American communities than any global summit ever could.
“Fentanyl took my child’s life, and it’s taken thousands more,” said Anne Fundner, whose son died from an overdose in 2022. “President Trump didn’t look the other way. He went after the cartels and the traffickers poisoning our kids. He’s the only one who made this fight a priority, and because of that, lives have been saved.”
The families aren’t talking about abstract diplomacy or symbolic gestures. They’re pointing to real, measurable action that saved American lives:
Trump declared war on drug cartels, designating them as terrorist organizations.
He ordered military strikes on drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.
His administration slashed illegal border crossings to record lows in 2020.
He built over 450 miles of border wall and reinstated the “Remain in Mexico” policy.
His policies helped stem the fentanyl flood that now kills over 70,000 Americans a year.
For these families, the peace Trump fought for wasn’t on foreign soil — it was right here at home.
“My daughter was killed by someone who never should have been in this country,” said Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was the victim of a hit-and-run by an illegal immigrant earlier this year. “He [Trump] stood up to the cartels, secured the border and fought to protect families like mine. That’s not just leadership, that’s bringing peace to American communities.”
Their letter argued that the Nobel Peace Prize, originally created to honor those who promote peace and reduce conflict, applies now more than ever to the domestic war being waged by drug traffickers and human smugglers.
“The greatest war many of us face is not in some faraway battlefield,” the letter reads, “it is in our backyards, waged by cartels that profit from human misery. President Trump understood this, and he has worked tirelessly to end it.”
The demand comes just as Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) formally nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize not only for his work dismantling cartel operations but also for brokering the first phase of a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, ending two years of brutal war in Gaza.
Pro-Israel activist Lizzy Savetsky went a step further, suggesting the Nobel Peace Prize should be renamed in Trump’s honor.
While the Nobel deadline for this year’s nominations passed on January 31, several were submitted prior though many others, including TABS’ request, came after. Even if Trump is not honored this year, the families say he should be first in line in 2026.
And they’re not alone. More Americans are recognizing what the Left refuses to admit: Trump’s policies saved lives. His leadership stopped the flow of poison at the border, crushed trafficking networks, and gave countless families a chance to live free from fear.
That’s peace. And it’s long past time it was recognized.
