Trump’s Iran-Israel Ceasefire Role Lands Him Nobel Peace Nomination

Congressman praises Trump’s decisive leadership in halting nuclear threats and brokering peace.

President Donald Trump has officially been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize following his successful brokering of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran an achievement few thought possible in a region plagued by violence and deep-seated animosity.

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) submitted the nomination on Tuesday, crediting Trump with stopping a rapidly escalating war and blocking Iran’s path to nuclear weapons. “President Trump’s influence was instrumental in forging a swift agreement that many believed to be impossible,” Carter wrote in his letter to the Nobel Committee.

On Monday, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire”, bringing a formal end to what he dubbed the “12 Day War.” Though tensions flared briefly on Tuesday morning, with both sides accusing the other of violations, the ceasefire held firm by the afternoon after Trump issued stern warnings to both nations.

“I think they both violated it. I’m not sure they did it intentionally,” Trump said candidly. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f* they’re doing.”

Love him or hate him, Trump’s approach is direct and it’s working.

Carter’s nomination outlined three major achievements that warrant global recognition:

  • Trump’s success in negotiating a ceasefire between bitter enemies.

  • His firm stance against Iran’s nuclear ambitions, including targeted military strikes on three nuclear sites over the weekend.

  • A broader push for global stability through peace by strength.

“This exemplifies the very ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize: the pursuit of peace, the prevention of war, and the advancement of international harmony,” Carter wrote.

This is not the first time Trump has been floated for the Peace Prize. His Abraham Accords in 2020, which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations, also earned him international praise and previous nominations. Now, with nuclear conflict a real possibility, Trump once again demonstrated his ability to de-escalate conflict with strength and precision.

As Trump heads to the NATO summit in the Netherlands, his message to European leaders will be just as forceful: spend more on defense and stop free-riding on American security guarantees.

While the establishment media continues to downplay his accomplishments, world leaders and now, the Nobel Committee are taking notice.
