Trump Declares 'No Amnesty' as Mass Deportations Target Illegal Farm Workers

USDA chief says strategic crackdown will protect food supply and move toward 100% American workforce.

“No amnesty. Period.” That was the message from President Donald Trump and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins on Tuesday as the administration doubled down on its promise to deport illegal workers even those in the farming industry.

The strong stance came during a press conference at the Department of Agriculture, where Rollins addressed concerns that mass deportations could disrupt the food supply chain.

“The president has been unequivocal that there will be no amnesty,” Rollins said. “We are moving toward a 100% American workforce.”

In short no backdoor legalization deals, no carve-outs for the agricultural sector, and no compromise.

This comes after prominent conservatives like Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon warned of mounting pressure inside Washington to convince Trump to green-light a mass legalization effort. That pressure appears to have hit a wall.

“People are pushing President Trump for amnesty,” Kirk said Tuesday. “They are pushing him for the mass legalization of illegals.” Rollins made it clear those efforts would go nowhere.

Key points from the administration’s response:

  • Mass deportations will continue, but strategically, to avoid shocks to the food supply.

  • The long-term solution is automation and tapping America’s existing workforce, including 34 million able-bodied adults in the Medicaid program.

  • The Department of Labor is creating new offices to assist American producers and help shift away from reliance on illegal labor.

  • Congressional allies are crafting reforms aimed at fixing the immigration loopholes that have fueled illegal employment for decades.

President Trump also addressed the issue head-on during Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting:

“There is no amnesty. What we are doing is we’re getting rid of criminals, but we are doing a work program.”

He clarified that while farmers need help, that help will not come through amnesty, but through strategic labor programs that do not compromise American jobs or sovereignty.

Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer reinforced that message, noting her agency is working closely with producers to make the transition, but “that does not include an amnesty program at all.”

This is exactly the kind of America First approach voters demanded secure the border, end the exploitation of illegal labor, and rebuild our economy with American hands and minds.
