Trump Supports Israeli Strike on Iran During Netanyahu Meeting at Mar-a-Lago

As Iran teeters under economic collapse, Trump reaffirms unwavering U.S.-Israel alliance and backs fast military response.

President Donald Trump made it clear on Monday if Israel strikes Iran, the United States under his leadership will stand behind them fast.

Speaking ahead of his sixth meeting this term with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago, Trump was asked whether he would support an Israeli strike against Iran in response to its continued development of missile and nuclear weapons.

“The missiles, yes. The nuclear, fast,” Trump responded. “One would be yes, absolutely, the other was, we’ll do it immediately.”

This isn’t diplomacy through weakness. It’s a return to peace through strength the kind of leadership the world hasn’t seen since Trump last sat in the Oval Office.

The meeting comes at a pivotal time. Iran is unraveling. Over the weekend, mass protests and strikes paralyzed the capital of Tehran after the Iranian rial plummeted to a record low of 1.42 million per U.S. dollar. The regime, as usual, responded with violence.

“Every time they have a rioter or someone forms a group, little or big, they start shooting people. You know, they kill people,” Trump said. “They’re vicious, vicious people.”

Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s visit focused on deepening U.S.-Israel defense cooperation, finalizing the Trump-led 20-point Gaza plan, and ensuring that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are crushed before they reach the finish line.

The Trump-Netanyahu meeting followed recent developments:

  • Israel’s $108 billion domestic arms investment, aimed at reducing dependency on U.S. military aid

  • The successful rollout of the Iron Beam laser defense system, capable of shooting down threats for as little as $2 per interception

  • A meeting with the family of Ran Gvili, the only Israeli hostage still unaccounted for after Trump’s peace deal led to the return of all other living and deceased hostages

“He’s the only one left, and we’re doing everything we can to get his body back,” Trump said. “The parents just said, hopefully he’s alive, and I said, ‘I love you to think that way.’”

Netanyahu also met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth earlier in the day, reflecting the administration’s unified front on Israel, Iran, and regional stability.

Israel’s shift toward military independence comes as Democrats in Congress push to limit U.S. military aid a move that threatens the historic partnership. But under Trump, there’s no ambiguity. The alliance is stronger than ever.

And now, with Iran collapsing from within, Trump sees an opportunity to finally neutralize one of the world’s most dangerous regimes not with endless diplomacy, but with credible deterrence.

This is exactly the kind of bold leadership that defined Trump’s first term: standing shoulder-to-shoulder with allies, drawing clear red lines, and making sure the enemies of freedom never doubt America’s resolve.

As the Middle East faces a potential turning point, one thing is certain Israel will never stand alone under Trump.
