Trump Says Maduro’s Time Leading Venezuela Is Almost Over
With CIA ops active and U.S. warships deployed, Trump signals Maduro’s regime is living on borrowed time.

President Donald Trump isn’t mincing words when it comes to Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro. In a high-stakes 60 Minutes interview Sunday night, Trump made it crystal clear Maduro’s time is running out.
Asked directly whether Maduro’s “days as president are numbered,” Trump replied without hesitation. “I would say yeah. I think so, yeah.”
It’s not just tough talk. The Trump administration has already taken decisive action. Reports last week revealed that the U.S. has identified military targets in Venezuela linked to drug trafficking assets tied directly to Maduro’s narco-state operations. The dictator has been branded by Trump’s team as a cartel leader, with a $50 million bounty placed on his head. Unlike the Biden years, where press releases replaced policy, Trump is backing his words with muscle.
The president also confirmed CIA operations are active in Venezuela to combat Maduro’s drug networks. When pressed on whether military strikes are being planned, Trump played it smart and strong.
“I’m not going to tell you what I’m going to do with Venezuela,” he told CBS host Norah O’Donnell. “If I was gonna do it, or if I wasn’t going to do it.”
The Maduro regime should be very nervous.
Here’s what we know:
CIA operations are greenlit to counter the drug trade and dismantle Maduro’s criminal empire.
The USS Gerald R. Ford, America’s most advanced aircraft carrier, is now deployed to the Caribbean a move widely interpreted as a show of force.
U.S. intelligence has reportedly mapped key land-based military targets in Venezuela involved in narcotics trafficking.
When asked why the Ford was in the region, Trump simply quipped. “It’s gotta be somewhere. It’s a big one.”
Only President Trump could say it that simply and still send chills through every socialist bunker in Caracas. While the D.C. establishment waffles on Latin American policy, Trump is making it known: the days of turning a blind eye to narco-tyrants on our doorstep are over.
Maduro’s illegitimate regime has plunged Venezuela into ruin economically, socially, and morally. Over 7 million Venezuelans have fled the country in recent years, with crime, poverty, and repression reaching record highs. Meanwhile, Maduro enriches himself off the drug trade and clings to power through brute force.
But the message from Washington under Trump’s leadership is loud and clear: America will not tolerate failed socialist regimes exporting chaos and poison to our shores. Whether through sanctions, intelligence, or military presence, this administration is drawing a red line that tyrants ignore at their peril.
