Trump May Settle $10 Billion IRS Lawsuit
Former President plans to donate proceeds from IRS privacy violation suit to major charities, turning political abuse into public good.

President Donald Trump is once again flipping the script on his political opponents. After filing a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS for unlawfully leaking his private tax records, Trump revealed Saturday he is considering settling the case not to pocket a dime, but to donate the proceeds to charity.
The move, which Trump described aboard Air Force One, is classic Trump bold, generous, and totally unexpected.
"We're thinking about doing something for charity where I'll give money to charity," Trump told reporters. "We can make it a substantial amount. Nobody would care because it's going to go to numerous very good charities."
This follows a bombshell federal lawsuit accusing a "rogue, politically motivated" IRS contractor of violating Trump’s privacy by leaking his confidential tax information to The New York Times and ProPublica in what appears to be an ideologically driven hit job. The employee, Charles Littlejohn, has already pleaded guilty and is serving a five-year prison sentence.
Let that sink in: a federal contractor stole and leaked a former president’s private financial records, and the Biden-run IRS allowed it to happen under their watch.
A few key points from the lawsuit:
Charles Littlejohn admitted to leaking Trump’s full tax data to hostile media outlets during the Trump administration.
Littlejohn also leaked private tax records of other wealthy Americans, proving this wasn’t about “transparency” it was about targeting.
The materials reportedly covered every one of Trump’s business holdings, a sweeping invasion of privacy with clear political motives.
The IRS has already admitted in court to the breach of confidentiality, a violation of federal law under the Taxpayer Browsing Protection Act. Yet there’s been no accountability from the Biden administration or any steps taken to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Instead, they’re silent perhaps because this leak served their political ends.
Rather than merely seeking personal compensation, Trump is turning this into a win for the American people. He floated the American Cancer Society as one possible recipient of the settlement funds, saying, "If I pay myself, that somehow will never look good."
This is leadership that thinks beyond personal gain something the career bureaucrats and power-hungry elites in Washington can’t even comprehend. Compare that with the corrupt rot we’ve seen time and again from the Biden administration, from Hunter’s business dealings to the weaponization of federal agencies for partisan revenge.
The difference is clear: when Democrats gain power, they target opponents. When Trump is wronged, he helps the country.
It’s no wonder a growing majority of Americans are waking up to the abuse of power within our own institutions. With Trump looking to turn political persecution into charitable contribution, he continues to demonstrate why 2024 can’t come soon enough.
