Trump Admin Launches $140M Plan to Supercharge ICE Deportations

New ICE Air fleet aims to fast-track removal of criminal illegals while saving taxpayers millions

President Trump is once again delivering on his promise to secure the border and put America first.

In a bold move to accelerate deportations, the Trump administration has finalized a $140 million contract to purchase six Boeing 737 aircraft for direct ICE Air operations eliminating the need for expensive outside contractors and allowing for faster, more efficient deportation flights.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the purchase, marking a key step toward reaching Trump’s goal of one million deportations per year.

“These planes will allow ICE to operate more effectively, including by using more efficient flight patterns,” said Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at DHS. “President Trump and @Sec_Noem are committed to quickly and efficiently getting criminal illegal aliens OUT of our country.”

And it’s not just about speed it’s about savings. McLaughlin noted the new approach will save American taxpayers $279 million, a win-win for both security and fiscal responsibility.

The aircraft deal was awarded to Daedalus Aviation, a new aviation firm established in 2024 that specializes in customized charter operations for missions like this. By building an in-house fleet for deportations, the Trump team is slashing unnecessary bureaucracy and removing red tape exactly the kind of no-nonsense leadership that made the first Trump term a success.

Let’s break down what this means:

  • More control: ICE no longer has to rely on inconsistent charter companies for removal flights.

  • Faster deportations: With dedicated planes, flights can be coordinated more frequently and strategically.

  • Massive cost savings: DHS estimates a $279 million reduction in spending compared to contractor use.

  • Scaling enforcement: Over 579,000 illegal immigrants have already been deported since Trump’s return, and this is just the beginning.

The aircraft purchases are funded through the Republican-backed “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which gave DHS a $165 billion war chest earlier this year to reinforce immigration enforcement and border security.

And while critics cry foul over logistics pointing out that some planes didn’t initially come with engines the Trump administration made clear this isn’t about show, it’s about results.

As Secretary Kristi Noem and Trump ally Corey Lewandowski continue leading DHS, the focus remains on getting the job done. Noem has pushed for a shift from contractor dependency to a fully operational internal fleet, cutting long-term costs and boosting operational capacity.

Still, some within ICE say the agency is feeling the pressure to meet the administration's ambitious benchmarks. But the message from the top is clear: either enforce the law or get out of the way.

This is what leadership looks like.

At a time when Joe Biden’s border crisis has let over 9 million illegal aliens flood into our country many with criminal records Trump is doing what Democrats refuse to remove them.
