Trump Outlines Gaza Plan With No U.S. Troops Involved

The president proposes a bold economic vision for Gaza’s future under American guidance.

President Donald Trump has provided further details on his bold plan for Gaza, clarifying that no U.S. troops will be deployed while the territory is rebuilt under American oversight. The proposal, which Trump first announced in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, envisions Gaza becoming a thriving economic zone free from Hamas and terror.

In a Thursday morning post, Trump stated that Israel would turn Gaza over to the U.S. after the fighting concludes and that Palestinian civilians would be resettled in safer, modern communities elsewhere in the region.

  • No U.S. Soldiers Required–Trump made it clear that his plan does not involve American military deployment in Gaza, emphasizing instead a global development effort.

  • Mass Resettlement of Gazans–Trump said the 1.7 million Palestinian civilians in Gaza would be relocated to safer regions, potentially in Egypt and Jordan despite resistance from those governments.

  • A Bold Economic Vision–Trump envisions Gaza as a massive redevelopment project, transforming the war-torn region into “one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth.”

Netanyahu praised Trump’s proposal, stating, “He is willing to think outside the box” and consider options that have never been pursued before.

Trump’s plan follows the devastating October 7 Hamas terrorist attack, which resulted in the murder of over 1,200 innocent people and plunged the region into war. Israel has since waged a military campaign against Hamas, leading to a ceasefire last month.

Not surprisingly, Democrats and even some establishment Republicans have criticized the plan. Sen. Lindsey Graham expressed hesitation about any U.S. role in governing Gaza, and Sen. Josh Hawley questioned whether American resources should be spent there. However, Trump’s team has reassured critics that U.S. taxpayers will not be footing the bill, as Trump plans to leverage international partnerships to fund the reconstruction.

With Biden’s weak foreign policy leaving America vulnerable, Trump is once again proving why he is the world’s top dealmaker pushing forward a vision for Middle East peace that prioritizes American interests and regional stability.
