Trump Thanks FBI Agents After Georgia Election Raid

Patel confirms president’s direct call as feds seize 2020 ballots and voting records in Fulton County.

In a move that’s already sending shockwaves through political circles, FBI Director Kash Patel has confirmed that former President Donald Trump personally called agents on the ground in Georgia to thank them following a dramatic raid on the Fulton County Election Hub tied to the 2020 election.

Appearing on Special Report Tuesday night, Patel didn’t hold back in defending the raid, saying federal agents executed the search "just like we would do anywhere else," with full legal authority and proper oversight. The target: a warehouse in Fulton County storing ballots, voting rolls, and election records from a hotly contested election in which Trump narrowly lost the state.

“We collected evidence, presented it to a federal magistrate judge, and received a search warrant,” Patel said, emphasizing that the bureau had probable cause to move forward. This was no fishing expedition it was a focused investigation, now drawing national attention.

But it’s what happened after the raid that truly underscores a new era under Trump’s leadership.

Trump reportedly called the FBI agents directly to express gratitude for their work. “To hear from the commander in chief… was a pretty cool thing,” said Patel. “That is maybe unusual from prior administrations, but I take it every chance I get to thank the men and women in law enforcement.”

In other words, Trump has done what Joe Biden never could: shown respect for the rule of law and the agents tasked with upholding it. Unlike Democrats who spent years vilifying the FBI except when it served their political ends Trump is supporting the people cleaning up the mess left behind by an election riddled with controversy and doubt.

Another unexpected detail? National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard was on-site during the raid. While Director Patel didn’t elaborate, a letter from Gabbard later confirmed she was there at Trump’s request, acting under her broad statutory authority related to election security and counterintelligence.

That raises a critical question: Why did the National Intelligence Director need to oversee a domestic FBI operation in Georgia?

Gabbard explained that her oversight includes foreign and malign influence in U.S. elections an area many on the left insisted was a "Russia hoax" unless it involved Trump. Her presence suggests the operation could reach far beyond just local mismanagement. If foreign or coordinated interference played any role in the handling or mishandling of 2020 election data, this raid might only be the beginning.

This latest development comes as confidence in America’s election integrity continues to plummet. A Rasmussen Reports poll from late 2023 showed that 62% of likely voters believe cheating likely impacted the 2020 election. Another Gallup poll noted that trust in U.S. elections dropped to a 15-year low in 2023.

Now, with the FBI in action and Trump standing behind them, there may be a renewed sense that accountability is finally on the table even if it’s two years late.
