Trump Slams Courts for Blocking Deportations of Criminal Illegals
President says judicial interference threatens national security and undermines one of his administration’s core mandates.

President Donald Trump didn’t mince words Tuesday night at the White House as he tore into federal courts that have blocked or stalled his administration’s aggressive deportation agenda calling out the judicial overreach that’s protecting criminal illegal aliens and putting American lives at risk.
“We’re getting killers, murderers, and drug dealers out of this country,” Trump said. “And a judge says we need to give them a trial that could take two years? It’s insane.”
Trump blasted what he called the “broken immigration system,” warning that judicial interference is undermining one of his most successful policy achievements his crackdown on illegal immigration and restoring law and order at the border.
Thousands of criminal aliens are in line for deportation, but court rulings are stalling the process.
The Supreme Court will hear a case on May 15 over nationwide injunctions blocking Trump’s move to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants.
One federal judge already blocked Trump's use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport criminal gang members, including MS-13 operatives.
“This system was never meant to handle this volume,” Trump said. “We had hundreds of thousands coming in under Biden from prisons, gangs, mental institutions and now we’re finally getting them out. But activist judges are standing in our way.”
During the Trump presidency, America has seen a historic decline in illegal crossings due to enhanced enforcement, physical barriers, and legal action. But Trump made it clear: the threat hasn’t gone away it’s just being slowed by the courts.
“Venezuela emptied its prisons into the United States,” Trump said, slamming the open-border chaos of the Biden years. “And they’re not the only ones. Other countries—even the Congo sent us their worst.”
The president warned that continued judicial obstruction will lead to a “very dangerous country,” as the system gets overwhelmed by delays, appeals, and politically motivated rulings.
And while Trump is locked in a battle to secure the homeland, he’s also focused on restoring America’s strength abroad, speaking briefly about his administration’s ongoing trade war with China.
Trump noted that China must make a deal, or it will continue facing the 145% tariff his administration imposed.
He emphasized, “They built their military off of what they made in the U.S. That stops now.”
Despite heavy media speculation, Trump also shut down rumors that he intends to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, saying plainly: “None whatsoever. Never did.”
But he didn’t shy away from offering advice.
“This is the perfect time to lower interest rates,” Trump said, pushing Powell to act. “It’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t. But it’s the right move.”
From immigration to trade to economic policy, Trump made one thing crystal clear: he’s not backing down. Whether it's federal judges, foreign adversaries, or internal bureaucracies trying to obstruct his agenda, Trump is forging ahead with or without their cooperation.
