Trump Names Ambassadors to Represent U.S. in Three Nations

Strategic picks signal Trump’s commitment to advancing American interests globally.

President-elect Donald Trump continues to shape his administration with strategic appointments to key ambassadorial positions. On Tuesday, Trump announced three significant nominations, reaffirming his commitment to advancing America’s interests on the global stage.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, a familiar face in law, media, and politics, has been tapped to represent the United States in Greece. Trump praised Guilfoyle’s qualifications, stating, “Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect make her supremely qualified to represent the United States, and safeguard its interests abroad.”

Guilfoyle emphasized the historic ties between the U.S. and Greece, noting the shared democratic values that form the foundation of both nations. She pledged to strengthen these bonds, saying, “As ambassador, I look forward to delivering on the Trump agenda, supporting our Greek allies, and ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity.”

Tom Barrack, a veteran private equity real estate investor, has been nominated to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey. Trump highlighted Barrack’s long-standing success in navigating complex global markets and building relationships with political and business leaders.

With Turkey positioned as a critical NATO ally and a pivotal player in Middle Eastern geopolitics, Barrack’s appointment reflects Trump’s focus on fortifying partnerships that prioritize America’s strategic and economic goals.

Returning to a familiar post, Ronald Johnson will serve as Ambassador to Mexico, a role he previously held during Trump’s first term. Johnson’s extensive background, including over 20 years with the CIA and service as a Green Beret, makes him uniquely equipped to address the challenges of U.S.-Mexico relations.

Trump emphasized Johnson’s critical role in combating cross-border crime and the illegal drug trade, saying, “Together, we will put an end to migrant crime, stop the illegal flow of Fentanyl and other dangerous drugs into our Country and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!”

These appointments underscore Trump’s America First approach to foreign policy. By selecting individuals with proven track records and deep expertise, the president-elect is sending a clear message: the United States will engage with the world on its terms, guided by leadership that prioritizes national security and prosperity.
