Tim Walz Announces Reelection Bid Amid Mounting Scandals

After a failed run on Kamala Harris’ disastrous 2024 ticket, Walz hopes voters forget his record on riots, China, and distasteful Trump remarks.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz officially announced Tuesday that he’s running for reelection, just months after helping lead one of the most humiliating presidential tickets in recent political history.

Having already failed to capture national support as Kamala Harris’ running mate in the Democratic Party’s last-ditch attempt to salvage a crumbling 2024 campaign, Walz now wants another term as governor despite a record riddled with missteps, radical policies, and outright disrespect for conservatives.

In his launch video, Walz avoided mentioning President Trump by name but couldn’t resist peddling the usual anti-Trump fearmongering that has become a tired tactic among Democrats.

“I’ll never stop fighting to protect us from the chaos, corruption, and cruelty coming out of Washington,” Walz claimed conveniently ignoring that Washington was under full Democrat control when the economy tanked, borders collapsed, and crime spiked nationwide.

While Walz touts “paid family leave” and a so-called “child tax credit” as achievements, Minnesota families remember a different story:

  • Billions in damage during the 2020 George Floyd riots, while Walz waited three days before activating the National Guard.

  • A police precinct was burned to the ground, as Minneapolis descended into chaos and law enforcement was left defenseless.

  • Minneapolis suffered over $500 million in damages, with business owners still reeling from the destruction five years later.

Rather than take decisive action, Walz infamously said of the riots, “we tried to do the best we can”. That line doesn’t inspire confidence especially when it comes from the man who let anarchists torch his own cities.

Perhaps even more alarming is Walz’s long and unexplained infatuation with Communist China. The governor has visited the authoritarian country over 30 times, brought students there to study Chinese propaganda under the guise of “culture,” and even honeymooned in the Communist-run nation.

At a time when the CCP is infiltrating American universities, farmland, and technology sectors, do Minnesotans really want a leader whose ties to Beijing run that deep?

According to a 2023 Pew Research Center report, 83% of Americans view China unfavorably, with a majority seeing the CCP as a direct threat to the U.S. Yet Walz has never fully explained the nature of his travels or the agenda behind them.

Adding fuel to the fire, Walz recently made what appeared to be a sick joke at a Labor Day event, teasing about President Trump’s health after online rumors circulated during Trump’s brief absence from the public eye.

“You woke up thinking there might be news,” Walz said with a grin. “Just saying… there will be news sometime.”

This isn’t just immature. It’s grotesque. Joking about the death of a former president and the current Republican frontrunner isn’t leadership. It’s desperation.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were crushed at the ballot box in 2024 for a reason: Americans are sick of incompetence, radical policies, and leaders who put globalist interests above their own citizens. Biden’s embarrassing debate performance, where he appeared confused and incoherent next to Trump, was the last straw and Democrats knew it.

But instead of stepping aside with dignity, Walz now wants another four years in St. Paul.

Minnesota deserves better. America deserves better. And come November, voters may just remind Tim Walz that failure on the national stage doesn’t earn you a promotion at home.
