Sheriff Reveals Details About Arrest in Suspected Assassination Attempt at Trump Rally

Multiple IDs, loaded firearms, and fake plates raise serious concerns about political violence.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco has shed new light on a disturbing incident that took place at a rally for former President Donald Trump over the weekend. During a press conference, Bianco announced the arrest of 49-year-old Vem Miller, though he cautioned that this may not be the suspect’s real name, as Miller was found with multiple fake IDs and passports.

According to Bianco, the arrest came after a suspicious encounter with one of his deputies at the inner perimeter of the event. Miller, who claimed to be a journalist, had managed to pass through initial security before a keen-eyed deputy noticed irregularities with his vehicle, which had a fake license plate. This led to a deeper investigation, uncovering a concerning arsenal of weapons and evidence that suggested Miller may have had more sinister intentions.

Key details from the arrest include:

  • Multiple IDs and Fake Passports: Miller carried several passports and driver's licenses under different names, raising questions about his true identity and motives.

  • Loaded Firearms and Ammunition: A search of Miller’s vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, a shotgun, and boxes of ammunition all found in a vehicle that was both unregistered and illegally equipped with homemade license plates.

  • Sovereign Citizen Ties: The fake license plate on Miller’s vehicle bore markings that law enforcement associates with the "sovereign citizen" movement, a group notorious for anti-government sentiments and dangerous behavior.

While Miller was arrested on weapons charges, Sheriff Bianco hinted that the federal government could pursue more serious accusations, potentially including an assassination attempt. Bianco didn't hold back when discussing the possibility of political violence. “I truly do believe that we prevented another assassination attempt,” he said, noting that it was the deputies' diligence that may have thwarted a tragic event.

Bianco expressed frustration at the reluctance of some to take the threat seriously. "If we are that politically lost... that we can’t say 'holy crap, what did he show up with all of that stuff for and loaded guns?'... We have a serious, serious problem in this country," he declared, emphasizing the importance of common sense and reason in recognizing potential dangers.

The Sheriff's statements underline the increasing threat of political violence in today's climate, a reality that should concern all Americans. While we may never fully know what Miller intended, his actions, combined with the arsenal he carried, leave little room for doubt that something was terribly wrong.

As investigations continue, it remains to be seen whether federal authorities will confirm an assassination plot. One thing is clear: law enforcement officers, by remaining vigilant, may have saved countless lives.
