Russia Threatens to Arm Iran with Nuclear Weapons

After U.S. airstrikes dismantled Tehran’s facilities, Medvedev suggests rogue nations may supply Iran with warheads directly.

Just days after President Trump ordered precise airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, Russia’s former president and top security official, Dmitry Medvedev, made an alarming declaration multiple countries are now allegedly ready to supply Iran with nuclear warheads.

In a chilling post on X, Medvedev said, “The enrichment of nuclear material and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons will continue.” He further warned that “a number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads.” While Medvedev avoided naming names, Russia’s history of cozying up to Tehran makes it a suspect partner.

This bombshell statement came on the heels of the U.S. military’s weekend operation targeting three critical nuclear sites in Iran Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The assault involved over 125 aircraft, including stealth B-2 bombers, a clear signal of America’s capability and will to enforce red lines.

  • Iran remains the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, according to the U.S. State Department.

  • The 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), which Trump dismantled in 2018, allowed Iran billions in sanctions relief while still enriching uranium just below weapons-grade.

  • As of early 2024, Iran was reportedly just days away from enriching enough uranium for a nuclear bomb, per UN atomic watchdogs.

Russia’s response? Claim the strikes violated international law and criticize the U.S. for “aggression.” This from the same regime that invaded Ukraine and routinely silences political opposition. Meanwhile, Moscow floated the idea of brokering peace talks between Iran and Israel a laughable notion considering its track record.

What Medvedev’s statement truly reveals is how high the stakes are. The Biden administration’s appeasement policies had emboldened Iran and its allies. It wasn’t until Trump returned strength to the Oval Office that Tehran’s nuclear program took a serious hit.

America cannot afford to ignore these threats. Allowing rogue nations to arm a terrorist regime with nuclear weapons is not just reckless it’s an existential danger. President Trump’s bold action may have saved the world from disaster, but this battle is far from over.
