RFK Jr. Targets Big Food and Big Pharma in ‘Make America Healthy Again’ Push

The HHS secretary is taking on seed oils, processed foods, and vaccine policies.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is pressing forward with his “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) initiative, and his latest moves signal a serious shake-up for both Big Food and Big Pharma.

This week, Kennedy is set to meet with top executives from General Mills, PepsiCo, and other major food corporations, according to Politico. The White House reportedly encouraged the meeting, with President Donald Trump wanting his department heads to engage directly with industry leaders.

Kennedy has long been a vocal critic of seed oils, artificial dyes, preservatives, and other processed food additives. Some food manufacturers appear open to reform, but there’s expected resistance when it comes to eliminating cheap and widely used ingredients like seed oils.

Meanwhile, Kennedy is also pushing for restrictions on sugary and processed foods in government-funded food assistance programs like SNAP. This effort is gaining traction in Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Texas, and Wyoming, where Republican leaders are working on legislation to limit unhealthy purchases. However, sources indicate that President Trump remains skeptical about bans or restrictions, as they tend to be unpopular with voters especially since Trump himself is known for his love of Diet Coke.

On the pharmaceutical front, Kennedy is taking bold action:

  • He has paused the CDC’s “Wild to Mild” flu vaccine campaign, shifting messaging toward “informed consent” by highlighting potential vaccine side effects.

  • He’s reviewing the childhood vaccination schedule, aiming to investigate links between vaccines, pesticides, food additives, microplastics, and chronic illness.

  • He plans to remove compromised members from the FDA and CDC’s vaccine advisory committee, citing conflicts of interest and a lack of transparency.

Kennedy has already postponed the advisory panel’s first meeting to ensure public comment is heard before major decisions are made. This move alone could have massive implications for how vaccines are recommended and approved in the future.

While Democrats and the media predictably rage over Kennedy’s actions, his efforts align with what many Americans have suspected for years: Big Food and Big Pharma have put profits over public health, and it’s time to take back control. Share this article or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
