RFK Jr. Criticizes Democrats for Allegedly Causing ‘Sickest Children In World History’

RFK Jr. exposes the Democratic Party's abandonment of health, freedom, and middle-class Americans.

At a rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched a pointed critique against his former party, calling out the Democratic Party’s transformation from defenders of the middle class and public health into advocates for corporate interests. “The Democrat Party left me,” he said, challenging their current alignment with Wall Street, Big Pharma, and Big Tech.

Kennedy, the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, spoke with deep conviction about the shift he sees in the party he once aligned with. “It is not the party anymore of Martin Luther King, of Robert Kennedy, of John Kennedy,” he said. Instead, Kennedy argued, today’s Democratic Party has abandoned its commitments to civil rights, constitutional freedoms, and protecting the middle class.

  • Abandonment of public health: Kennedy highlighted alarming statistics, pointing to a rise in chronic disease that he says reflects the failure of current Democratic policies. “When my uncle was president, 6% of Americans had chronic disease,” Kennedy said. “Today, 60% of Americans have chronic disease.” He warned that America’s youth are increasingly unable to qualify for military service due to health issues, with 77% of American boys disqualified due to chronic disease a statistic he labeled “existential” for the country’s future.

  • From Wall Street to Big Pharma: According to Kennedy, the Democratic Party has become “the party of Wall Street, of big banks, of big data, of big tech, of the military contractors, and Big Pharma.” He criticized party leaders for aligning with figures like Bill Gates, who recently gave $50 million to support Kamala Harris’s campaign, and for accepting endorsements from national security heavyweights like John Bolton and Dick Cheney figures that once represented the opposing side of the political spectrum.

Kennedy also lambasted Democrats for abandoning women’s rights, particularly in the area of women’s sports. “My uncle Ted Kennedy wrote Title IX,” he reminded the audience, referring to the legislation that opened opportunities in sports for women in college. Today, he argued, Democrats are dismantling those protections by supporting policies that allow biological men to compete in women’s sports.

Kennedy’s critique went beyond health and corporate alliances to underscore what he views as a betrayal of democratic processes within the party. “Instead of bringing in a candidate who wins the primaries, they abolish the primaries, and then pick two candidates, anointing them without receiving votes,” he said, questioning how Kamala Harris was able to clinch the nomination without winning primaries.

Kennedy’s rallying call ended with a grim comparison: “This is the party that’s given us the sickest children in the history of the world.” He argued that Democrats’ support for big agricultural, pharmaceutical, and chemical interests has compromised the health of future generations, as chronic diseases rise and American families feel the impact of what he described as failing policies.

Kennedy’s speech echoed with a stark warning: “Today, we are spending $4.3 trillion a year, five times our military budget, on chronic disease.” For him, these figures reveal a crisis that needs addressing. Kennedy’s call to action urges Americans to reconsider their allegiances, especially those who remember a time when the Democratic Party claimed to stand for the everyday American.
