Public Database Exposes Illegal Immigrant Crime Wave

New platform reveals thousands of crimes tied to illegal immigrants amid rising concerns over Biden's border policies.

A new public database detailing thousands of crimes committed by illegal immigrants launched Monday, shedding light on the rampant criminal activity tied to lax border policies under the Biden administration. The website, IllegalAlienCrimes.com, allows users to zoom in on their communities and see crimes drawn from local news reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) statements, and open records requests.

ICE reports that in Fiscal Year 2023, over 70,000 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions or pending charges were taken into custody by its Enforcement and Removal Operations. This is in addition to 100,000 arrests for immigration law violations, such as overstaying visas or being wanted criminals in other countries. Despite this, details often remain hidden from the public, with news outlets frequently omitting offenders' immigration status.

- Last week, the Associated Press reported on the killing of a 12-year-old girl in Texas without noting the suspects were illegal immigrants from Venezuela.

- The new database, a project of the nonprofit Restoration of America, aims to fill these information gaps.

- The site has documented 2,000 cases so far, highlighting a shocking array of crimes across the nation.

May's roundup of cases includes:

Hayden Ludwig, one of the site's researchers, emphasized the importance of this database in exposing the realities of the immigration crisis. “Our team is doing the gritty investigative journalism America’s press is supposed to do but won’t,” Ludwig said. “It’s incredibly important that there’s a tool we can all use to see how close this ‘Bidenvasion’ policy failure has gotten to our very own backyards.”
