Oscars Speech Sparks Debate as Best Documentary Winner Blasts Israel and U.S.
Hollywood Applauds as Filmmaker Pushes Anti-Israel Narrative.

Israeli filmmaker Yuval Abraham used his 97th Academy Awards acceptance speech as a platform to deliver an anti-Israel rant, taking shots at both Israel and U.S. foreign policy while accepting the Best Documentary Feature award for "No Other Land."
Rather than celebrating the honor, Abraham used his moment in the spotlight to push a divisive political agenda, blaming Israel and the United States for the ongoing conflict.
Abraham, who co-directed the film with Palestinian activist Basel Adra, wasted no time in portraying Israel as the aggressor and the U.S. as complicit.
“We made this film, Palestinians and Israelis, because together, our voices are stronger. We see each other, the destruction of Gaza and its people, which must end, the Israeli hostages, brutally taken in the crime of October 7, which must be freed,” he said.
He then falsely equated Israel’s legal system to “ethnic supremacy,” claiming that Israel enforces military laws designed to “destroy” Palestinian lives.
Abraham went even further, blaming the United States for blocking a political resolution to the war, saying: “I have to say, as I’m here, the foreign policy in this country is helping to block this path.”
His remarks were met with thunderous applause from Hollywood elites who once again proved their selective outrage loudly condemning Israel while ignoring the horrors inflicted by Hamas terrorists.
The Academy has a long history of rewarding politically charged documentaries, and this year was no different. "No Other Land" follows the same pattern as previous winners, such as last year’s “20 Days in Mariupol” and 2023’s “Navalny,” both of which were critical of Russia.
Notably, the film had little mainstream cultural influence, yet managed to secure the award despite competing against far more widely discussed projects. In contrast, the DailyWire+ documentary “Am I Racist?” received no recognition despite its popularity and cultural relevance.
Hollywood’s Bias on Full Display:
No major studios picked up “No Other Land” for distribution, forcing its producers to self-distribute in the U.S.
Despite winning, the film grossed only $420,000 domestically a tiny fraction of what most mainstream documentaries earn.
The film is a project by a Palestinian-Israeli activist collective, clearly designed to paint Israel as the sole aggressor in the conflict.
The silence from Hollywood on Hamas atrocities is deafening. Abraham barely acknowledged the 1,200 Israelis murdered on October 7, nor did he demand justice for the Israeli hostages still held captive. Instead, his speech focused on demonizing Israel and the United States a message that was eagerly embraced by the same Hollywood crowd that routinely ignores radical Islamic terrorism.
Once again, the Oscars proved to be less about artistic achievement and more about pushing an agenda one that always seems to target Israel and the West while ignoring the crimes of actual terrorist regimes.
The only thing that wasn’t surprising? The Hollywood elites cheering him on.
