Winfrey didn't hold back as she painted a Harris victory as a historic triumph for women, particularly emphasizing the significance of breaking the so-called "glass ceiling." "It will mean that actually anything is possible because this is her mother, her father, two immigrants coming to the United States … only in America could Kamala Harris’ story be possible," Winfrey gushed. “If you do not have autonomy over this—” she gestured to her body, “if you cannot control when and how you choose to bring your children into this world, and how they are raised and supported, there is no American Dream.” According to Winfrey, those who oppose abortion are pushing America back to a "time of desperation and shame," likening pro-abortion advocates to "new freedom fighters."
