Nicki Minaj Breaks the Internet and the Left’s Narrative on Voter ID

55 million views, bipartisan support, and a CNN reality check show Americans agree voter ID just makes sense.

Nicki Minaj may not be a political pundit, but over the weekend, she did what most in Washington can’t cut straight through the noise with common sense.

“What sensible forward-thinking leading nation is having a DEBATE on whether or not there should be VOTER ID?!” she posted on X.

That post? It racked up over 55 million views, sending shockwaves through media, culture, and political circles alike.

Turns out, the people agree. Not just some people. The overwhelming majority of Americans, across party lines and racial groups, agree with Nicki Minaj: you should have to show a photo ID to vote.

Even CNN couldn’t spin it. “The American people are with Nicki Minaj,” said CNN’s Harry Enten, breaking down polling data that shatters the left’s narrative.

Let’s look at the numbers:

  • 83% of Americans support voter ID laws.

  • 95% of Republicans, 71% of Democrats, and 76% of Black Americans are in favor.

  • 82% of Latinos and 85% of white Americans also support the requirement.

This is not controversial. It’s only controversial to the professional outrage class in D.C. and Hollywood who think showing ID to vote is somehow a form of “suppression”—yet they gladly show ID to buy alcohol, board a flight, or attend an elite event.

Let’s not forget that President Joe Biden once compared Georgia’s voter ID law to “Jim Crow 2.0.” Vice President Kamala Harris argued these laws targeted African-Americans “with almost surgical precision.” Sen. Raphael Warnock scoffed at the idea that voter ID prevents fraud. And House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries labeled it “voter suppression.”

But now even CNN is admitting that the American people don’t buy that spin anymore. Seven in ten Democrats agree with Nicki Minaj. The race card has officially expired on this issue.

Minaj didn’t stop with one post. She later explained what pushed her to speak up: seeing the dishonesty of the 2024 presidential campaign and realizing she could use her platform for truth.

“Sometimes people can push you so much that they push you all the way into your next calling,” she said.

She’s right. And she’s not alone.

What Nicki Minaj just did was pull back the curtain on one of the Democratic Party’s most dishonest narratives that requiring ID to vote is somehow “racist” or “oppressive.” It’s not. It’s common sense, and now the numbers prove it.

The only people against it are the ones desperate to protect a broken system.

When a global superstar with tens of millions of fans says what most Americans are already thinking and even CNN has to admit she’s right you know the tide is turning.
