Netanyahu Vows Hezbollah Will Pay For Assassination Attempt On His Wife

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with forceful resolve on Saturday night after an assassination attempt targeted his wife by Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists. Calling the move a “grave mistake,” Netanyahu promised that Hezbollah and its Iranian handlers would pay dearly for the attack.

In a strong statement, Netanyahu said, “The attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake. This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future.”

Netanyahu’s response comes after three drones were launched by Hezbollah, two of which were shot down by Israeli helicopters. However, one drone managed to evade destruction, with reports suggesting it hit a building near Netanyahu’s home. Fortunately, neither Netanyahu nor his wife were present at the time, and no casualties were reported. A photo circulating online appears to show damage at a residence believed to be his.

• Clear Warning To Iran: Netanyahu made it clear that Israel’s enemies would not escape retribution. “Anyone who tries to harm Israel’s citizens will pay a heavy price,” he said, vowing that Israel would continue eliminating terrorists and those who dispatch them.

• Hezbollah Escalates War: This assassination attempt comes just days after Israel killed Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terror group responsible for the October 7 massacre that claimed 1,200 lives. Hezbollah has since vowed to escalate its war against Israel.

• Israel's Resolve: Netanyahu emphasized that the attack would not derail Israel’s mission, including rescuing hostages from Hamas or restoring safety in northern Israel. “We are determined to achieve all our war objectives and change the security reality in our region for generations to come,” he declared.

As tensions escalate in the region, Israel remains steadfast in its determination to defend its citizens and defeat the Iranian-backed terror groups that threaten its existence.
