Netanyahu Says Killing Khamenei Would End Israel-Iran Conflict
Israeli Prime Minister defends strikes, says Tehran’s aggression is the root of Middle East instability.

In a bold and unapologetic statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Monday that the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would mark the end of the decades-long conflict between Israel and Iran. Speaking to ABC News, Netanyahu directly addressed the source of Middle East instability and issued a stark warning peace can only come by eliminating the regime that has spent generations exporting terrorism and chaos.
“We’ve had half a century of conflict spread by this regime that terrorizes everyone in the Middle East,” Netanyahu said. “The ‘forever war’ is what Iran wants, and they’re bringing us to the brink of nuclear war.”
While the prime minister did not explicitly confirm that Israel is targeting Khamenei, he made clear that taking out the radical theocrat would not escalate the situation it would resolve it.
Asked about reports that President Trump intervened to prevent an Israeli strike on Khamenei during the latest wave of hostilities, Netanyahu didn’t deny the claim but said that removing the Iranian dictator would end the conflict rather than escalate it.
This latest phase of war began Friday, as Israel launched devastating strikes on Iran’s top military commanders, nuclear enrichment facilities, and missile infrastructure. Since then, Israel has systematically dismantled Iran’s war machine, claiming complete air superiority over Iranian territory.
Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s objectives with surgical precision “We are going to continue until we remove the two existential threats: the nuclear threat and the threat of 20,000 ballistic missiles that are equivalent to two nuclear bombs.”
Meanwhile, President Trump confirmed that Iran has begun reaching out through intermediaries, signaling a desire to negotiate a ceasefire. “They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before,” Trump said. “I had 60 days, and they had 60 days. On the 61st day, I said, ‘We don’t have a deal.’ They have to make a deal… Iran is not winning this war, and they should talk immediately, before it’s too late.”
While the Biden administration continues to deny any active involvement in Israel’s operation, Netanyahu made it clear that America has every reason to support Israel’s actions.
“Today, it’s Tel Aviv. Tomorrow, it’s New York,” Netanyahu warned. “I understand ‘America First.’ I don’t understand ‘America Dead.’ That’s what these people want. They chant ‘Death to America.’ So we’re doing something that is in the service of mankind, of humanity, and it’s a battle of good against evil.”
The Iranian regime’s chant of “Death to America” isn’t hyperbole it’s the bedrock of their ideology. And while Biden has spent years trying to revive failed nuclear talks and appease Tehran, it’s Trump who once again stands firm with Israel, recognizing the true nature of the threat and supporting decisive action.
Key takeaways from Netanyahu’s remarks:
The Israeli Prime Minister declared that killing Khamenei would end, not escalate, the conflict.
Israel has achieved air superiority and is dismantling Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.
Netanyahu confirmed the conflict will continue until both existential threats are eliminated.
Trump revealed that Iran is signaling a desire to negotiate, but emphasized that it's likely too little, too late.
Netanyahu called on the U.S. to recognize Iran’s threat to the West, saying “America does, should, and does stand with the good.”
Once again, Trump’s leadership and Israel’s resolve are standing against the tide of weakness and appeasement. If peace is to be achieved, it will be by eliminating the threats not negotiating with them.
