Netanyahu Blasts Biden for Weak Response After Hamas Executes Hostages

As Biden presses Israel for concessions, Netanyahu demands international pressure on Hamas instead.

In a striking exchange following the brutal execution of six Israeli hostages by Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired back at President Joe Biden for his lukewarm response and calls for more Israeli concessions. The incident underscores the growing tension between the Biden administration and Israel as Netanyahu faces pressure both internationally and domestically to act decisively against the terror group.

When asked by a reporter whether Netanyahu was doing enough to address the ongoing crisis, Biden responded bluntly, “No.” This statement, following the heart-wrenching execution of Israeli hostages, did not sit well with Netanyahu.

“What has changed in the last five days?” Netanyahu angrily asked. “These murderers executed six of our hostages. They shot them in the back of the head. That’s what’s changed. And now, after this, we’re asked to show ‘seriousness’? We’re asked to make concessions? What message does this send Hamas? It says, ‘Kill more hostages. Murder more hostages. You’ll get more concessions.’”

Netanyahu made it clear that Israel’s focus should be on applying maximum pressure on Hamas, not on bending to international demands for more concessions. “The pressure internationally must be directed at these killers,” Netanyahu continued. “Not at Israel.”

The exchange comes at a time when the Biden administration has been accused of undermining Israel’s war effort against Hamas. Despite Congress approving military aid, Biden has been slow to deliver crucial arms and support to Israel, prompting sharp criticism from American lawmakers. Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty lashed out at the administration’s approach, stating that Biden should “get out of Israel’s way” and allow them to defeat the Iranian-backed terrorists without interference.

Senator Jim Risch, a ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, echoed Hagerty’s sentiment. “The Biden Administration continues to try and have it both ways by claiming credit for security assistance to Israel that it has not provided,” Risch said, urging Biden to move forward with much-needed arms sales and to stop micromanaging Israel’s fight against terror.

The hesitation from the White House has only emboldened Israel’s enemies. Hezbollah has increased attacks from Lebanon, and Hamas continues to dig in, pushing Israel into a potential two-front war. The Biden administration’s reluctance to fully back Israel has sent a dangerous signal to these terror groups, encouraging them to prolong the conflict and escalate violence, further endangering civilians.

As tensions rise, Biden’s weak stance on Israel’s defense efforts is alienating a key American ally and jeopardizing the stability of the region. Netanyahu’s firm rejection of Biden’s criticisms sends a clear message: Israel will not back down in the face of terrorism, and it expects the full support of its allies as it fights to protect its people.
