Netanyahu Slams Biden-Harris Weakness as Emboldening Hamas

As Biden Criticizes Israel, Netanyahu Warns Their Message Encourages More Hostage Murders.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not mince words as he condemned President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their tepid response to the escalating crisis with Hamas. After Hamas terrorists executed six more hostages, including 23-year-old American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Netanyahu blasted the Biden-Harris administration’s calls for restraint, warning that their weakness only emboldens the terrorists.

Netanyahu’s frustrations peaked when Biden publicly criticized him, accusing Israel of not doing enough to secure the release of the remaining hostages. But the reality is far from Biden’s claims. Since the horrific attacks on Israel by Hamas on October 7th, 2023, Israel has bent over backward to show restraint, often at the direct request of Biden and Harris, despite Hamas’s unyielding refusal to reciprocate.

“I was asked whether I am not doing enough to secure the release of hostages,” Netanyahu said in response to Biden’s accusation. He detailed Israel’s efforts to move forward with negotiations, only to have Hamas walk away every time. Just days ago, the Deputy CIA Director acknowledged Israel’s seriousness in the negotiations and placed the burden on Hamas to respond in kind.

So what has changed? Netanyahu pointed out the grim reality: “These murderers executed six of our hostages. They shot them in the back of the head.” Despite this atrocity, Israel is still being pressured to make concessions. Netanyahu minced no words in his assessment of what message this sends to Hamas: “It says, kill more hostages. Murder more hostages and you will get more concessions.”

The Israeli leader’s message was clear—international pressure must be directed at Hamas, the true perpetrators of this violence. Netanyahu argued that the Biden-Harris administration is not serious about ending the carnage or saving the hostages if they continue to press Israel instead of holding Hamas accountable. “We’ve already made [concessions]. Hamas has to make the concessions,” he concluded, highlighting the stark difference between Israel’s willingness to negotiate and Hamas’s continuous acts of terror.

The Biden administration’s misplaced pressure is not just a diplomatic failure; it is a signal to Hamas that they can continue their reign of terror with little consequence. As the situation intensifies, the question remains: how many more hostages need to die before the world, and the Biden administration, wake up to the real threat?
