NAACP Gives Kamala Harris Award While Ignoring True Black Leaders

The NAACP has once again shown its true colors, prioritizing political loyalty over genuine achievement. This year, the organization will honor Vice President Kamala Harris with its Chairman’s Award, celebrating her so-called "unwavering commitment to justice and equity." But what exactly has Harris done to earn such an accolade?

As Vice President, Harris has overseen skyrocketing crime, a worsening border crisis, and a failing economy. Yet, the NAACP is rewarding her for simply existing as a symbol of leftist identity politics rather than for any measurable success.

This is hardly surprising. The NAACP’s Chairman’s Award has a long history of being handed to left-wing politicians, including:

• Barack Obama: whose presidency deepened racial and political division.

• Al Gore: a career politician whose climate change alarmism has been repeatedly debunked.

• Maxine Waters: known for inciting hostility rather than fostering unity.

Yet, the organization has never honored legendary conservative figures such as Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas or economist Thomas Sowell two men whose contributions to law and economic policy have reshaped the nation for the better. The message is clear: if you don’t align with the left, your achievements don’t count.

Instead of standing up for the marginalized, Harris has actively ignored real issues impacting Black Americans, such as:

• Skyrocketing crime: She has supported policies that enable criminals while communities suffer.

• Mass illegal immigration: Her failure to address the border crisis has disproportionately hurt Black workers competing for jobs.

• Economic struggles: Biden-Harris policies have led to inflation, higher gas prices, and worsening financial conditions for working-class families.

Yet, despite this record, she is being celebrated as a “force of change.” Change for the worse, perhaps.

This award is not about justice, equity, or progress it’s about rewarding a political ally. The NAACP has abandoned its original mission of uplifting the Black community and instead turned itself into an extension of the Democratic Party. True leaders like Clarence Thomas and Thomas Sowell, who have actually advanced economic and legal opportunities for all Americans, are ignored simply because they don’t fit the left’s narrative.

Americans see through this charade. If the NAACP truly cared about excellence, it would honor those who have made real, lasting contributions not politicians who have left their communities worse off.
