Megyn Kelly Voices Concern Over Kamala Harris’s VP Pick, Tim Walz

Kelly Warns of Walz's Far-Left Policies and Potential Influence.

Political commentator Megyn Kelly has expressed deep concerns over Vice President Kamala Harris’s choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the upcoming election. Kelly described Walz as a "far-Left" candidate whose radical policies could have significant implications for the nation.

Kelly shared her thoughts on Wednesday, following Harris’s announcement of Walz as her vice-presidential pick. Walz's selection has already garnered praise from far-left groups, further underscoring his progressive stance on key issues.

- Key Concerns:

  • Walz is seen as an extreme candidate on the transgender issue.

  • Kelly draws parallels between Walz and California Governor Gavin Newsom, noting their similar political views.

  • Kelly expresses fear over Walz's potential rise to vice president or president.

“He’s the most radical they could find on the trans issue,” Kelly said. “As I said yesterday, he’s another Gavin Newsom. There’s just almost no daylight between those two – if any, at all – which is an issue very important to me personally, and my audience as well.”

Kelly elaborated on her apprehensions, stating, “This guy scares me. He scares me because he actually could become the vice president and potentially the president. And I’m gonna be honest with you and the audience. I watched him last night, and I thought he was amazing. He is a spectacular speaker. He was charming. He had that rally in the palm of his hand. He’s way more effective than she is, or Joe Biden is.”

Kelly's remarks underscore the impact Walz could have on the national stage, should he be elected alongside Harris. She highlighted Walz's skill as a speaker, acknowledging his ability to captivate audiences and command attention, traits that she feels could make him a formidable political figure.

“I genuinely feel like for the first time that I can remember, had like a feeling of fear rise up in my throat,” she added. “Because I know what he’s permitting in Minnesota when it comes to children. … Nothing compares to what we’re doing to minor children. I get emotional over it. This isn’t gonna happen to my kids. My kids are good. This isn’t about a personal thing for me, it’s about everybody else’s kids. I care about children. And he is pedal to the metal, full steam ahead on all of it. So when I watched him dazzle last night – I’m not going to vote for him, I’ve been honest about that – but I recoiled. … I see why she chose him. He’s great and he’s better than she is in his rhetoric.”

Kelly’s statements reflect broader concerns among conservative commentators and voters who view Walz’s policies as too extreme. The potential influence of Walz in a high-ranking national position raises questions about the direction of the Democratic platform and its impact on American families.

As the election season progresses, Harris’s choice of Walz is likely to remain a topic of intense discussion, with voters and analysts alike scrutinizing his record and rhetoric.
