Kid Rock Fires Back at Lip-Sync Accusations After TPUSA Halftime Show

Country rocker says out-of-sync audio proves it was live while slamming NFL for platforming Bad Bunny.

Kid Rock didn’t hold back after online critics accused him of lip-syncing during his high-octane performance at Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show a patriotic alternative to the NFL’s Super Bowl spectacle.

Appearing on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle Monday night, the outspoken country-rock star set the record straight, explaining the minor sync issue wasn’t evidence of a fake performance it was proof he was performing live.

“I’m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song,” Kid Rock (real name Robert Ritchie) said. “I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, you guys got to work on that sync. It’s off. So it was just a syncing issue.”

According to Ritchie, the issue stemmed from his DJ not being lit properly, making it difficult for producers to match the live audio to the performance in post-production. He added that using a pre-recorded track would have made syncing easier but they didn’t. It was all live.

He later blasted the speculation in a tweet, labeling the narrative as nothing more than “fake news” a classic smear aimed at a conservative-friendly artist who dares to perform outside the progressive Hollywood machine.

The TPUSA Halftime Show, aired at the same time as the official NFL performance, shattered expectations. Millions tuned in via YouTube, Charlie Kirk’s channel, and DailyWire+ all eager for a pro-America celebration instead of another virtue-signaling Super Bowl show.

The contrast could not have been more stark.

While Kid Rock lit up the stage with raw energy, the official NFL Halftime Show featured Bad Bunny, a Spanish-language pop star known more for his politics than his patriotism. Not only did most Americans struggle to understand his lyrics, but many took issue with the provocative dancing and lack of cultural relevance.

“Like most people, I didn’t understand any of it,” Kid Rock said bluntly. “Not my cup of tea, but I don’t fault that kid… I fault the NFL for putting him in that position.”

He wasn’t alone. President Donald Trump weighed in on Truth Social, eviscerating the NFL's choice:

“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! … It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America … and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children.”

“This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country.”

That’s why TPUSA’s halftime alternative existed in the first place to give Americans something to celebrate. Not woke lectures. Not indecipherable lyrics. Not taxpayer-funded spectacles disconnected from American values.

And despite the media’s desperate efforts to smear it, the people tuned in. The views don’t lie.

Kid Rock’s unapologetic patriotism, high-energy performance, and refusal to bend to the cancel mob are exactly why he was chosen to headline the All-American Halftime Show. And judging by the Left’s meltdown, it worked.
