John Kerry Accused of Interfering with FBI Arrests of Terrorists Supporting Iran
Whistleblowers reveal former Secretary of State John Kerry blocked FBI efforts to arrest individuals aiding Iran's weapons programs.
Whistleblowers have informed top Republican senators that former President Barack Obama’s State Department actively obstructed the FBI from executing arrest warrants against individuals in the U.S. illegally supporting Iran’s weapons programs. The allegations center on John Kerry, who served as Secretary of State during the Obama administration and is now the special presidential envoy for climate.
According to Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), whistleblowers detailed how Kerry and the State Department interfered with the FBI’s efforts to arrest those financially backing Iran’s development of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and ballistic missile programs. This interference reportedly undermined nearly two decades of bipartisan efforts to sanction Iranian entities involved in nuclear proliferation and support for terrorist groups.
“Kerry actively interfered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) executing arrest warrants on individuals in the U.S. illegally supporting Iranian efforts,” the whistleblowers revealed. This included obstructing efforts to arrest those providing financial support for Iran’s nuclear and missile development.
The whistleblowers’ letter to Grassley and Johnson detailed several instances where the State Department blocked FBI operations:
In at least eight instances, the FBI and DOJ were prevented from moving forward with cases due to State Department interference.
In six cases, the FBI missed the opportunity to arrest the main subject, including individuals on the Terrorism Watch List and others who returned to Iran.
One operation was halted mid-flight, forcing the suspect to leave the U.S. upon arrival.
The interference was reportedly so severe that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch had to address the issue directly with Kerry. Despite the Obama administration’s public stance on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the whistleblowers assert that Kerry’s actions contradicted these goals, motivated by political considerations.
The records provided to the senators also show that the interference ceased only after the Trump administration took office, allowing the FBI to finally proceed with some of the arrests. This shift underscores the significant impact of the State Department’s obstruction under Kerry's leadership.
These revelations raise serious questions about the Obama-Biden administration’s commitment to national security and the rule of law. The alleged actions of John Kerry not only jeopardized ongoing investigations but also allowed known terrorists and criminals to evade justice.
