Russia Hands Over JFK Assassination Files to Congress
Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna receives 350 pages of unredacted documents as Trump’s declassification order shakes loose decades of secrets.

In a shocking turn of events that could reshape decades of speculation, Russia has handed over 350 pages of documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., chair of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets. The files were delivered directly by Russia's Ambassador to the United States and, according to Luna, appear unredacted.
“A team of experts is en route to my office in the morning to begin translation and a full review of the documents,” Luna posted on X. “We will be uploading as soon as we can.”
This unprecedented move adds new fuel to one of America’s most controversial political fires. For decades, Americans have demanded answers surrounding JFK’s assassination, only to be met with half-truths and censored documents. Now, a foreign government not our own has stepped in to provide transparency that U.S. institutions have long withheld.
And make no mistake: this didn’t happen under Joe Biden.
President Trump took bold action in March, signing an executive order to declassify documents not only related to JFK’s death but also the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. That executive order has already yielded over 80,000 pages of previously hidden records.
Earlier this year:
The FBI admitted to discovering 2,400 additional JFK-related records as part of compliance with Trump’s order.
Trump blasted the deep state for keeping Americans in the dark for over 60 years, stating that the truth must be known.
Luna called the JFK assassination a “momentous and tragic day” that still demands accountability.
Now, Russia has taken the unprecedented step of handing over what U.S. agencies have slow-walked for decades. The Kremlin even confirmed that the documents would be publicly released in Russia this November a striking contrast to the U.S. government's usual refusal to fully disclose such materials.
The deeper question is: Why now? Why is Russia offering up this information, and what exactly is buried in these pages?
The Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. But Americans have never fully bought it. Polling shows that over 61% of Americans believe there was a broader conspiracy behind JFK’s murder. The sudden appearance of unfiltered documents from a foreign power only sharpens those suspicions.
Also notable: during the handoff, Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Darchiyev expressed condolences over the recent “brutal killing” of Charlie Kirk, signaling Moscow’s awareness of high-profile political violence in the U.S. This raises further questions about geopolitical motivations and messaging behind the release.
In the coming days, as these documents are translated and uploaded, Americans may finally see behind the curtain of one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history. And they’ll have President Trump and Rep. Luna to thank not the bureaucrats who spent decades keeping the truth buried.
