Israel Launches Over 1,300 Strikes on Hezbollah, Killing Hundreds and Eliminating Thousands of Missiles

IDF escalates campaign against Hezbollah, crippling the terror group’s missile stockpiles and leadership.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have ramped up their military campaign against Hezbollah, striking more than 1,300 targets in Lebanon on Monday alone, dealing a severe blow to the Iranian-backed terrorist organization. The escalation comes as Israel seeks to neutralize the threat posed by Hezbollah’s rocket and missile attacks, which have terrorized northern Israel and displaced tens of thousands of civilians following the October 7 attacks by Hamas last year.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, IDF Spokesman, announced that the strikes have focused on a range of Hezbollah’s military assets, including cruise missiles capable of reaching hundreds of kilometers, heavy rockets with 1,000-kilogram warheads, and medium- and short-range rockets. Armed drones were also targeted. Hagari noted that secondary explosions occurred at many of the strike sites, confirming the destruction of Hezbollah's weapon stockpiles.

According to Lebanese government figures, the strikes have resulted in the deaths of over 490 individuals, the vast majority believed to be Hezbollah terrorists, while more than 1,600 were injured. Hezbollah has been launching daily rocket attacks on Israeli cities, driving over a million Israeli civilians into bomb shelters in Haifa and surrounding areas.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant praised the operation, stating, "In the last day, the IDF has crushed what Hezbollah has built over twenty years." He noted that entire units of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force have been wiped out, and tens of thousands of rockets have been destroyed. Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah remains isolated as the group’s military infrastructure continues to crumble under relentless Israeli airstrikes.

The IDF’s recent operations also included a devastating blow last week when Israel detonated explosive-laden pagers and walkie-talkies that it had covertly sold to Hezbollah, killing hundreds of terrorists and leaving many more in critical condition.

Israel has systematically targeted Hezbollah’s leadership, eliminating the senior command of Hezbollah’s Radwan force, including Ibrahim Aqil, head of Hezbollah’s Operations Unit, in a Friday airstrike in southern Beirut. The Radwan force had been spearheading Hezbollah’s “Conquer the Galilee” plan, an offensive aimed at Israel. The elimination of its leadership and the destruction of key infrastructure have left Hezbollah reeling.

Key takeaways:

  • IDF struck over 1,300 Hezbollah targets in a single day, destroying missile stockpiles and terrorist infrastructure.

  • Over 490 Hezbollah fighters were killed, with many more wounded, severely weakening the group’s military capabilities.

  • Israel has eliminated Hezbollah’s elite Radwan command and destroyed tens of thousands of rockets aimed at Israeli civilians.

As the strikes continue, Israeli officials have made it clear that Hezbollah will not be allowed to recover from these losses. “What Hezbollah hasn’t understood through force, it will understand through more force,” a senior Israeli official stated.
