Iran Endorses Left-Wing College Protests and Professors

Iran’s support fuels campus chaos and anti-Semitic indoctrination.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, widely recognized as the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, announced its support on Wednesday for the left-wing protests that have disrupted U.S. college campuses and the professors fostering anti-Semitic sentiments among students. This endorsement comes as part of Iran's broader strategy to sow discord and promote its radical agenda.

  • Campus Chaos
The protests, which erupted in April, have led to violent encampments at top universities. Jewish students and law enforcement have been attacked, with protesters calling for the destruction of Israel and, in some cases, advocating for an "Intifada," a term referring to terrorist attacks against Jews or the state of Israel.

  • Iran's Endorsement
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, expressed solidarity with the protesters in a letter posted on state-run media. Khamenei praised the students’ actions, framing them as part of a "Resistance Front" against U.S. and Israeli policies.

  • Support from Extremists
These left-wing campus protests have garnered backing from extremist groups like Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, further highlighting the dangerous implications of these movements.

Khamenei’s letter to U.S. university students read, “Dear university students in the United States of America, this message is an expression of our empathy and solidarity with you. As the page of history is turning, you are standing on the right side of it.” He continued, “You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front and have begun an honorable struggle in the face of your government’s ruthless pressure — a government which openly supports the usurper and brutal Zionist regime.”

The letter included numerous false claims about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, painting Palestinians solely as victims while ignoring their involvement in terrorist activities against Israel. Khamenei also lauded the support of university professors for these protests, viewing their backing as crucial in the face of what he described as government "police brutality."

“The support and solidarity of your professors is a significant and consequential development,” Khamenei wrote. “This can offer some measure of comfort in the face of your government’s police brutality and the pressures it is exerting on you. I too am among those who empathize with you young people, and value your perseverance.”

The backing of these protests by extremist groups underscores the potential for increased violence and radicalization on college campuses. The convergence of domestic left-wing agitators and international terrorist endorsements presents a serious threat to national security and campus safety.
