House GOP Report Alleges Biden Defrauded the U.S. to Enrich His Family
Republicans claim "overwhelming evidence" of impeachable conduct in bombshell investigation.
In a scathing 292-page report, House Republicans have accused President Joe Biden of engaging in "impeachable conduct" by allegedly using his public office to enrich his family through foreign business dealings. The long-awaited report, released Monday by the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees, claims that Biden "defrauded the United States" and "abused his office" for personal gain.
The investigation, which has been months in the making, presents what Republicans describe as "overwhelming evidence" that Biden was actively involved in his family's lucrative foreign business ventures while serving as Vice President. According to the report, the Biden family and their associates have been paid over $27 million by foreign entities and individuals since 2014.
Foreign Connections: The report details how Biden allegedly participated in his family's foreign business activities by attending dinners and speaking with business partners on the phone, often with Hunter Biden placing calls on speakerphone. One of the most notable instances mentioned is a 2014 dinner with Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, after which Baturina wired $3.5 million to Hunter Biden's firm, Rosemont Seneca Thornton.
Complex Financial Transactions: The report accuses the Biden family of laundering money through a series of complicated financial transactions designed to conceal their activities. These transactions involved breaking up large sums into smaller amounts and channeling the funds through various entities, according to the report.
Hunter Biden’s Involvement: Evidence from Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, dismissed by some as "Russian disinformation" in 2020, also plays a crucial role in the report. It reveals meetings between Biden and Hunter's business associates from Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan while Biden was Vice President. The report also references a 2017 deal with CEFC China Energy, in which Hunter Biden allegedly referred to his father as the "big guy" in discussions about a 10% stake in the deal.
The report argues that these transactions and meetings would not have occurred if not for Joe Biden's official position in the U.S. government. It claims that Biden's involvement allowed his family to live a lavish lifestyle without providing any legitimate services.
Impeachable Conduct: Republicans argue that Biden’s actions amount to impeachable conduct, asserting that he abused the office of the Vice President to benefit his family at the expense of the nation. The report concludes that Biden's behavior represents a betrayal of public trust, placing his family's welfare above that of the United States.
As the impeachment inquiry continues, the House GOP's findings could have significant implications for the Biden presidency. The report paints a damning picture of a family allegedly using political power for personal enrichment, with President Biden at the center of the scheme.
