Florida Turns Biden’s Own Law Against Radical Pro-Abortion Activists
State uses FACE Act to punish Antifa and Jane’s Revenge vandals attacking pregnancy centers.

Florida just flipped the script on the Biden administration, successfully using the very same federal law that his Justice Department weaponized against pro-life activists. In a major victory for life, Florida’s Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the state has won a lawsuit under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act but this time, it was used to hold radical pro-abortion vandals accountable.
The case targeted four members of Antifa and Jane’s Revenge, extremist groups responsible for countless attacks on pregnancy resource centers. The lawsuit resulted in civil penalties, including fines ranging from $1,100 to $13,000 and a 10-year restriction barring the vandals from coming within 100 feet of the pregnancy centers they targeted.
The FACE Act was originally enacted to prevent violence at abortion clinics, but it also applies to pregnancy resource centers and places of worship. Yet, under Biden, the Justice Department almost exclusively wielded the law against pro-life activists, while allowing left-wing radicals to attack pro-life organizations with near-total impunity.
Since May 2022, hundreds of pro-abortion attacks on pregnancy centers and churches have occurred across the U.S.
The Biden DOJ only pursued cases in Florida and Ohio, despite the widespread violence.
97% of FACE Act prosecutions from 1994 to 2024 have been against pro-life Americans, according to data obtained by Rep. Chip Roy’s office.
While Biden’s DOJ was busy jailing peaceful pro-life advocates, it largely ignored groups like Jane’s Revenge, which openly admitted to firebombing pregnancy centers. That’s why Florida’s decision to use the FACE Act to defend pro-life facilities is a game-changer.
Attorney General Uthmeier made it clear that Florida will not allow radical left-wing activists to threaten, harass, or vandalize pregnancy centers that provide free, life-saving care to women in need.
“We in Florida will not sit idly by when thugs attempt to threaten, intimidate, and harass pro-life facilities,” Uthmeier said. “As the State’s chief legal officer, I will ensure that pro-abortion bullies who violate the law will be held accountable.”
His actions send a powerful message that law and order will be upheld in Florida, no matter how much the Biden administration tries to turn a blind eye to leftist violence.
Florida’s bold move comes amid renewed calls from Republican lawmakers to repeal the FACE Act entirely. Critics argue that the law has become nothing more than a tool for leftist political persecution.
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) has called for full repeal, stating: “No more excuses, let’s get it done.”
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) is a strong supporter of repealing the act.
The Heritage Foundation has also now endorsed repealing the law, calling it an “ideological weapon” used to silence pro-life voices.
Heritage legal experts Thomas Jipping and Seth Lucas summed it up: “The FACE Act itself is the problem. It is irredeemable as policy and beyond Congress’ constitutional authority. Congress should repeal it.”
Florida’s success proves that strong conservative leadership makes a difference. While Biden’s DOJ turned the FACE Act into a cudgel against pro-lifers, Florida showed that justice works both ways.
It’s time for Congress to follow Florida’s lead repeal the FACE Act and end Biden’s political persecution once and for all.
