FBI Sidelines Agents Who Knelt With BLM Protesters in 2020
Trump’s crackdown on politicized law enforcement gains traction as bureau reassigns agents who made headlines for bowing to radical activists.

In a move that signals a sharp break from the politicized culture that gripped federal law enforcement under the previous administration, the FBI has reassigned multiple agents who were photographed kneeling with Black Lives Matter protesters during the violent summer of 2020.
According to sources briefed on the matter, these agents once tasked with defending federal buildings amid nationwide unrest have now been quietly transferred to less desirable roles inside the bureau. While the FBI officially refuses to comment on personnel decisions, insiders describe the reassignments as internal demotions in everything but pay.
This comes as the Trump administration fulfills its promise to root out “woke” and politically biased elements from federal law enforcement agencies.
The kneeling incident occurred in June 2020, when then-Attorney General Bill Barr deployed the FBI to aid overwhelmed law enforcement in Washington, D.C. Rather than focusing on crowd control or protecting property, a number of agents were captured on camera kneeling in submission before BLM demonstrators a gesture that some agents later claimed was intended to de-escalate tensions.
But the reaction inside the bureau was fierce. Many saw the act as a clear politicization of the FBI’s mission, and worse, a decision that placed officers in a vulnerable position in the middle of a hostile crowd.
Let’s not forget the context: the BLM riots that followed George Floyd’s death left at least 25 people dead and caused an estimated $1 to $2 billion in damage. Despite this, law enforcement agencies across the country pressured by leftist politicians and media bent the knee, both literally and figuratively.
Trump and his allies have repeatedly cited the kneeling incident as evidence of bureaucratic rot within the FBI, where agents were encouraged to align with radical political movements under the guise of public relations. That era, it seems, is coming to an end.
Legal experts say the FBI is within its rights to transfer agents, so long as their pay and position remain intact. Still, some reassigned individuals could try to pursue legal action if they believe the moves were retaliatory although proving that in court would be a long shot, especially under the Trump-led Department of Justice.
This is just the latest sign that federal institutions are finally being brought back to neutral ground, where allegiance is owed to the Constitution and the American people not activist mobs.
Americans remember 2020. They remember law enforcement kneeling as cities burned, and they remember who had the courage to stand up and say enough is enough.
