Ole Miss Students Learn the Secret to Courage From Erika Kirk
Widow of TPUSA leader tells Ole Miss students that true bravery starts with honoring God and serving others.

In an emotional and powerful appearance at the University of Mississippi, Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, revealed the deeply personal habits her late husband followed to live with unwavering courage and conviction. Just seven weeks after Charlie’s assassination at an event in Utah, Erika stood before a crowd of hundreds and shared what gave her husband the strength to lead and how others can do the same.
Speaking ahead of Vice President JD Vance at a Turning Point USA university rally, Erika offered students a glimpse into the private routine that shaped Charlie’s public courage. At the center of it all were three daily questions Charlie asked himself each morning questions that served as a spiritual compass and a call to bold action.
“What is something I can do for someone today?
What is something I can do to add value to the world today?
How can I honor God today?”
These, Erika explained, were the foundation of Charlie’s purpose-driven life. Combined with a powerful message hung above his side of the bed “They will be known by the boldness of their faith” Charlie’s day began in alignment with what truly mattered.
“Those were the three questions combined with the words he saw every single morning,” Erika said. “That was him suited up with the armor of the Lord every day.”
Her message was clear: Courage doesn’t come from grand gestures or speeches it comes from living every day with intention, humility, and faith. And in a time where young people are told to follow feelings, chase popularity, or bow to cancel culture, Charlie Kirk’s quiet, consistent strength offers a radically different example.
“Ask yourself those three questions every single day,” Erika urged. “And I promise you, you will get courage.”
Her message struck a chord not just because of Charlie’s legacy, but because of the urgency she now carries in his absence. “What death amplifies even more is that you only get one life,” she said. “God has created you for greatness.”
Erika’s speech was more than a tribute. It was a challenge to wake up with purpose, to live for something greater than yourself, and to never shy away from living boldly for truth. It’s a message this generation desperately needs.
In a world where courage is often faked for clicks and likes, Charlie Kirk’s life and Erika’s strength in the wake of tragedy remind us what real boldness looks like. It’s rooted in faith. It serves others. And it refuses to back down, even when the cost is high.
