GOP Oversight Committee Releases 33,000 Epstein Files in Major Transparency Push
Chairman James Comer leads effort to expose high-level corruption and deliver long-overdue accountability to Epstein’s victims.

On Tuesday, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee released a massive trove of 33,295 documents related to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, marking a major step forward in the fight for transparency and justice.
The files handed over by the Department of Justice after being subpoenaed by Chairman James Comer (R-KY) represent the largest public disclosure to date regarding the Epstein case, and suggest the committee is just getting started.
“We’re gonna continue to bring in more people,” Comer told reporters. “We learned of some additional names today… We’re gonna do everything we can to give the American public the transparency they seek.”
Key Highlights from the Release:
Over 33,000 pages of internal communications, legal filings, and testimony linked to Epstein, his associates, and the individuals who shielded him.
The committee is actively investigating former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who negotiated the infamous 2008 plea deal that allowed Epstein to escape serious punishment for years.
Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have been subpoenaed in connection to Epstein’s activities and associations.
The DOJ also released tapes from its interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate and accomplice, conducted by Deputy AG Todd Blanche.
The most eye-opening element? According to those tapes, Maxwell denied ever witnessing Donald Trump or Bill Clinton engage in inappropriate behavior around Epstein a direct refutation of years of speculation and false narratives, especially pushed by the Left regarding Trump’s past acquaintance with the financier.
“Trump was always very cordial and very kind to me,” Maxwell stated. “I admire his extraordinary achievement in becoming the president... and I like him, and I’ve always liked him.”
For years, Americans have demanded answers about Epstein’s connections, about the elite circles he operated in, and most importantly, about who protected him. Under Comer’s leadership, the Oversight Committee is doing what federal agencies failed to do under previous administrations: deliver real accountability.
What makes this even more notable is Comer’s acknowledgment of cooperation from an unlikely source: the Biden White House.
“The White House is working with us. I want to publicly thank the White House for turning over so many documents thus far,” Comer said.
While that cooperation is appreciated, it’s also a reminder that this information should’ve been public long ago. It shouldn’t have taken relentless pressure from Republican lawmakers to get the truth into the hands of the American people.
And yet, this release is only the beginning.
Comer confirmed that more names have surfaced in the latest documents and that the investigation is expanding. The committee plans to issue additional subpoenas, including to Ghislaine Maxwell herself, ensuring no one escapes scrutiny, no matter how connected or powerful they may be.
The Epstein scandal was never just about one man. It was about a system of protection for elites, where wealth, influence, and political clout shielded predators from justice.
Under Republican leadership, that protection is being ripped away.
This is about restoring faith in American institutions and delivering justice for the victims many of whom still live in silence, waiting for someone to tell the truth on their behalf.
James Comer and the House Oversight Committee just took a giant step toward doing exactly that.
