Christian Leader of 10 Million Strong Condemns Anti-Jewish Incident in Amsterdam

Pastor Hagee sounds the alarm on rising anti-Semitism across Europe.

Pastor John Hagee, founder of Christians United For Israel (CUFI), the largest pro-Israel Christian organization with over 10 million members, has issued a stark warning in response to the recent brutal attacks on Jews in Amsterdam. Hagee condemned the assault, describing it as an alarming resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe, where Jewish fans of an Israeli soccer team were ambushed, beaten, and even thrown into a river by violent mobs.

“This week, an Israeli soccer team competed in Amsterdam,” Hagee stated. “After the game, the Israeli soccer fans were hunted in the streets outside of the stadium. Jews were punched, kicked, stabbed, and thrown into the river while mobs attempted to lynch others. Jews were brutally pursued with a bloodlust reminiscent of October 7 in what can only be described as a modern-day pogrom.”

Hagee pointed out the chilling timing of this attack, which occurred just before the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the infamous “Night of Broken Glass” in 1938 when Jewish businesses, synagogues, and homes were destroyed across Nazi Germany. He warned that, much like Kristallnacht, today’s anti-Semitic violence is gaining a dangerous level of public acceptance, as attackers openly filmed their assaults and shared them on social media.

  • "Wake Up, America": Hagee issued a direct call to action, urging Americans to take notice of this growing threat. “What do you think would have happened to the Jewish people had Israel not sent planes to rescue them? Where could they have gone? Nowhere but Israel,” he said, underscoring the importance of Israel as a haven for the Jewish people in a world that has repeatedly turned its back on them.

  • Rising Anti-Semitism and Moral Decline: Hagee emphasized that such violence doesn’t emerge in isolation it’s the byproduct of making anti-Semitism socially acceptable on a global scale. “This is what happens when you normalize denigration, dehumanization, and isolation of the Jewish state and its people. Israel has always existed; it was created by God Almighty,” he declared. This, he argued, is the inevitable consequence when societies turn a blind eye to hate.

  • Standing With Israel and the Jewish People: Hagee reaffirmed CUFI’s commitment to supporting Israel, declaring, “The nation of Israel has always been the home of the Jewish people and it will always exist.” He urged Christians and Jews to unite, proclaiming, “If there is a line to be drawn, then draw the line around Christians and Jews, because we are one.”

Local commentators like Leon de Winter of De Telegraaf have noted that anti-Zionist demonstrations have become routine in Amsterdam, often led by Moroccan youth. Last Friday, this activism escalated into violence against fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv. Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema came under criticism for failing to mention any specific connection to the Islamic community in her response, despite the attackers’ backgrounds.

As anti-Semitic violence escalates in Europe, Hagee’s words resonate as a call to awareness and action, urging Americans to recognize the growing threat against Jewish communities worldwide. His message makes clear that Israel, and those who stand with her, will not back down.
