Charles Payne Blasts Kamala Harris and Democrats for ‘Erasing Black Men’

The Fox Business host blasts the left for sidelining black men while offering empty promises.

Fox Business host Charles Payne did not hold back in his criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party, accusing them of systematically "erasing black men" while offering no real solutions to the community’s concerns. Payne’s remarks came after recent attempts by Harris to appeal to black men, whose support is critical as her poll numbers continue to struggle ahead of the 2024 election.

During a segment on "America’s Newsroom," host Bill Hemmer referenced former President Barack Obama’s comments, in which he suggested that sexism might be the reason why black men aren’t rallying behind Harris. Obama’s remarks, aimed at shaming black men into supporting the vice president, sparked an impassioned response from Payne.

“A damn shame,” Payne said. “It’s so insulting. Could you imagine a white man talking down to black people like that, particularly black men? That’s our issue? Women? It’s not the fact that I don’t have a job or my job is non-existent, or I’m in a world where progressives are erasing me from movies, from billboards, from opportunities.”

Payne didn’t mince words, accusing the Democratic Party especially progressive factions in Hollywood, Wall Street, and Washington, D.C. of systematically erasing black men from public life. He argued that black men are increasingly aware of this and are now pushing back against a party that seems to have forgotten them.

  • Payne pointed to the lack of economic opportunities for black men, calling out the hypocrisy of a political system that claims to support them but instead limits their prospects.

  • He also highlighted how progressive culture, particularly in Hollywood, has minimized black male representation, accusing them of “going to war” against black masculinity under the guise of combating "toxic masculinity."

  • Citing an example from a recent marijuana legalization campaign, Payne noted that while black voters were used to pass the initiative, black business applicants were denied licenses to sell the product, leaving many disillusioned.

“They’re not wanted in the white, progressive world,” Payne said bluntly. “They’re not wanted, and they’re waking up and pushing back.”

Payne also criticized Harris’ hollow promises to bring more "opportunities" to black men, dismissing her latest proposals as part of the same “bag of tricks” the Democratic Party has been using for decades without delivering real results. “It’s all smoke and mirrors,” Payne argued, insisting that the political left has failed to address the core issues plaguing the black community.

As the 2024 election approaches, Harris’ declining support among black men represents a growing challenge for Democrats. Payne’s comments echo a broader sentiment of disillusionment with the Democratic Party, as more black voters feel abandoned by the very leaders they once supported.
