Border Patrol Warns of Potential Mass Resignations Under Kamala Harris Victory
After "four years in hell" under Biden, agents say a Harris presidency would devastate morale and border security.
Border Patrol agents are sounding the alarm, warning of mass resignations if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the upcoming presidential election. Agents, who have already endured what they describe as "four years in hell" under the Biden-Harris administration, say they are unwilling to continue working under leadership that has consistently undermined their ability to enforce border security.
Key concerns raised by Border Patrol agents:
Many agents are planning to retire early or leave if Harris wins the presidency.
Agents claim the administration has made their jobs "as inefficient as possible" while releasing known criminals into the country.
The National Border Patrol Union, which has endorsed Donald Trump, warns that Harris' policies will drive the country into chaos.
One anonymous agent, speaking to the New York Post, was blunt: “I’m not doing this … again.” He and others explained that morale is at an all-time low, and many agents would rather retire than endure another term of policies that they believe endanger both Americans and themselves. Yuma Border Patrol Chief Chris Clem echoed these sentiments, pointing out that the administration’s messaging, particularly Harris’ attempts to market herself as "pro-border security," only further damages agent morale. "It’s putting salt on an already gaping wound," Clem said.
The numbers speak for themselves. Under the Biden-Harris administration, more than 10 million illegal immigrants have crossed into the United States. In just two years, an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant got aways have been recorded, dwarfing the 415,000 got aways that crossed during Trump’s entire first term. These staggering figures demonstrate the administration's failure to control the borders a crisis worsened by policies that effectively release criminals back into communities.
Harris, in a desperate pivot on immigration, has released advertisements positioning herself as a "border state prosecutor" and promising to increase the number of Border Patrol agents. This move has been met with skepticism, as the administration’s actions over the past four years tell a much different story. Polls indicate that the majority of voters do not believe Harris has “clearly explained” her stance on illegal immigration, and these efforts to rebrand herself are likely too little, too late for Border Patrol agents.
With the border crisis intensifying and agents threatening to leave in droves, the stakes for November's election couldn’t be higher. A Harris presidency, they warn, would cement the lawlessness that has already gripped America’s borders.
