Boeing Lands $8.6 Billion Deal to Build F-15 Fighter Jets for Israel

Following Trump-Netanyahu summit, U.S. boosts military support as Israel confronts growing regional threats.

As tensions escalate across the Middle East, Boeing has secured a massive $8.6 billion contract to supply Israel with 25 new F-15IA fighter jets, a clear sign that U.S.-Israel defense cooperation is not only intact but growing stronger under President Donald Trump’s leadership.

The Pentagon confirmed this week that the contract, part of the F-15 Israel program, includes an option for an additional 25 aircraft, which could raise the total even higher in the coming years.

“This contract provides for the design, integration, instrumentation, test, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force,” the Department of Defense stated.

The initial $840 million in funding has already been obligated, with all work being conducted at Boeing’s St. Louis facility. The entire production schedule is expected to be completed by December 31, 2035.

This contract is more than a business deal it’s a message.

It comes just days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago to discuss the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, Hamas disarmament, and regional threats posed by Iran. The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to defeating terrorism and protecting Israeli sovereignty.

Netanyahu also announced that Trump will receive Israel’s highest civilian honor—the Israel Prize in recognition of his historic support for the Jewish state.

Here’s why this fighter jet deal matters:

  • The F-15IA is a next-generation variant of Boeing’s battle-proven airframe, tailored specifically for Israeli Air Force needs

  • The deal ensures Israel maintains air superiority amid growing threats from Iran, Hezbollah, and Iranian proxies in Syria and Iraq

  • It underscores Trump’s continued support for Israel’s right to self-defense and military preparedness even as some in Congress push to limit military aid

The F-15IA jets will sharpen Israel’s ability to strike deeply embedded terror targets from Hamas tunnels in Gaza to Iranian-backed missile sites in Lebanon. As Trump made clear during his recent meeting with Netanyahu, if Hamas doesn’t disarm soon, “it’ll be horrible for them… really, really bad.”

And if Iran continues advancing its missile and nuclear programs? “The missiles, yes. The nuclear, fast,” Trump said. “We’ll do it immediately.”

This arms deal also provides a major boost to American manufacturing and defense jobs, with billions flowing through Boeing’s domestic production lines another hallmark of the America First foreign policy that strengthens allies without weakening U.S. industry.

While Biden’s administration tried to tie Israel’s hands with pressure, lectures, and appeasement of Iran, Trump is restoring deterrence and delivering results.

This contract is yet another sign that under Trump, the U.S.-Israel alliance isn’t just surviving it’s thriving.
