AOC Melts Down Over Bill Protecting Women’s Sports

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) once again lost her composure on the House floor Tuesday, railing against Republicans over the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act a bill designed to do exactly what its title states: protect female athletes from being forced to compete against biological men.

The bill, which overwhelmingly passed the House with only two Democrats supporting it, would prohibit men who identify as women from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. This common-sense measure should have been a bipartisan slam dunk, yet the radical Left is determined to prioritize gender ideology over fairness and safety for women.

Rather than addressing the merits of the bill, Ocasio-Cortez launched into a bizarre, emotional tirade filled with wild accusations:

• She claimed Republicans want women “bleeding out in parking lots” and “allowing us to die.”

• She accused conservatives of supporting “genital examinations” for children, despite there being no such provision in the bill.

• She bizarrely suggested that “bigots and sexual assaulters” support the bill.

• She then went off on a tangent about CEOs and Los Angeles being “on fire,” leaving many to wonder what she was even talking about.

This kind of hysterical fear-mongering has become AOC’s trademark loud, baseless, and completely disconnected from reality.

The real question is why Democrats like AOC are so obsessed with forcing women to compete against biological men in the first place. It’s already been proven that allowing men into female sports destroys opportunities for young women:

• In Connecticut, two male athletes won 15 women’s track championships that should have gone to female runners.

• In the NCAA, a biologically male swimmer easily dominated female competitions, robbing real women of medals and scholarships.

• A North Carolina volleyball player suffered a severe injury when a biological male spiked the ball into her face, proving the real safety risks at play.

Women fought for decades to have their own sports leagues, and now Democrats are actively working to erase them. Meanwhile, anyone who speaks out against this injustice is smeared as a “bigot” or accused of promoting “hate.”

Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow leftists love to pretend they are champions of women until it comes to issues like protecting female athletes, ensuring safety in women’s locker rooms, or stopping men from taking over spaces meant for women.

• They ignore the real struggles of female athletes losing scholarships and records to men.

• They dismiss the legitimate concerns of parents who don’t want their daughters forced to compete against biological males.

• They refuse to defend women’s privacy in locker rooms and changing areas.

This is not about “trans rights” this is about basic fairness and safety for women. The fact that AOC and the Democratic Party would rather scream about imaginary discrimination than protect real female athletes tells you everything you need to know.

Americans are waking up to the insanity, and Republicans are taking action. It’s time to stand up for women because the Left certainly won’t.
