Zuckerberg Ends DEI at Meta and Embraces ‘Masculine Energy’

A major shift as Big Tech moves away from woke corporate culture.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has officially turned the page on woke corporate culture, announcing that the tech giant is scrapping diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and embracing a more competitive, merit-based environment. In a revealing interview with Joe Rogan on Friday, Zuckerberg expressed concerns that modern corporate culture has swung too far in demonizing masculinity, leading Meta to adopt a different approach.

During the interview, Zuckerberg described how corporate culture had become “culturally neutered” and distanced itself from what he called “masculine energy.” While acknowledging the need for inclusivity, he made it clear that demonizing masculinity has gone too far.

  • DEI Backlash: Meta’s internal memo stated that DEI had become “charged” and was perceived as unfairly favoring certain groups over others.

  • End of Woke Policies: Meta has removed tampons from men’s restrooms previously provided for “nonbinary and transgender employees.”

  • Fact-Checking Scrapped: The company admitted its fact-checking program had been politically biased and decided to drop it altogether.

Zuckerberg told Rogan that fostering a more aggressive, competitive culture has benefits that many in corporate America have ignored. “I think having a culture that celebrates the aggression a bit more has its own merits that are really positive,” he said.

Zuckerberg’s comments come just days after he met with President-elect Donald Trump at his Florida estate. While the two have had past conflicts Trump has previously criticized Zuckerberg and even threatened legal action against Meta the meeting signals a potential shift in Big Tech’s stance toward a more business-friendly, less politically driven future.

Zuckerberg praised Trump’s leadership, stating, “I think he just wants America to win.” His new direction at Meta reflects this sentiment, prioritizing innovation, competition, and fairness over divisive identity politics.

The move by Meta could indicate a broader rejection of woke policies in corporate America. Companies like Disney, Bud Light, and Target have suffered severe financial consequences from pushing leftist agendas. Now, even one of the biggest names in Big Tech is walking back the radical DEI movement and acknowledging the importance of a balanced, merit-based culture.

Meta’s shift is long overdue, and it raises an important question: Are other corporations finally waking up?
